    After a great deal of research (which didn't identify a consistently critical favorite), I settled on this inexpensive printer. It does a yeoman's job, but even generic ink cartridges are nearly as expensive as the printer (a common theme with inkjets). Because the 3830 doesn't support auto-duplex printing, I cannot give it four stars.
