Excellent print quality for this price category. Completes all 4 functions including FAX.

The printer that I actually wanted to buy is a $300 Epson photo printer. But I decided to wait on a photo printer for another time and just go for the much cheaper HP OfficeJet 3830 for everyday printing. This is my first wireless printer and that aspect is really convenient because I can print from my MacBook Pro or iPhone with ease. However, I can’t believe how much ink it goes through. Every single printer I’ve ever used in the past has allowed you to adjust the ink and other settings..... so you could print, say, a draft version which uses much less ink. With this printer I can’t find a way to adjust the ink settings, and I don’t even think there is a way. I printed three articles which contains three pictures and it used 1/3 of the ink!

This replaces my 'old' OfficeJet 8600 all-in-one. It may not have 100% the same bells and whistles, but can't beat the value on sale! HP's have been pretty good printers and since my previous one was about 8 years old, it's about time for a newer device for my at-home printing needs. This one's smaller, lighter and was easy to set up on my secured WiFi. Here's hoping to a long life for it!

So far, so good. Excellent 3-in-1 unit. Doesn't take up too much tabletop space. Easy to set up. Document feed is an added bonus. I'm a long-time user of HP printers and I've not gotten a bad one yet. I ordered it online and it arrived 2 days later. Not bad at all. It replaces an HP 3-in-1 that I worked to death. Won't happen with this unit. I recommend it.

The printer is best for home at this price with all in one.

I was impressed how easy this was to set up. Connecting to my Chromebook was easy and the wireless printing feature is a bonus. The touch screen display makes navigating easy. Definitely get quality prints to the price of the printer. I am bummed that I can't use the fax feature as we no longer have a land line, but all the other features are well worth the price.

I purchased this printer for it's all in one capabilities. I needed something that could scan, print, and copy. It works well and I've enjoyed the wifi capabilities.

Printer shopping is always a daunting task. There’s endless negative reviews for every printer, but I decided to just go for it on this one. The setup is easy if you are more tech-savvy, but I can see how the setup can be confusing to people who have less tech. Try to just follow the prompts as seen and customize the settings later. It makes the setup much easier. This printer is perfect if you don’t print too much. It’s not the fastest at printing, but it’s also not the slowest I’ve used. I do recommended using a slightly heavier paper because the wheels had a hard time grabbing cheap printer paper I happened to have, but since I’ve switched to a thicker paper, I’ve had no problems. I don’t print often, and so far it has worked wonders. I don’t have to run to a print shop or my college campus to print anymore! The main reason I use it is actually for the scanner. It scans a bit slow, but it’s can produce up to 1600 dpi scans with the glass top so I’m not gonna complain! I use HP Instant Ink, and so far I have paid nothing for ink. Their free plan is enough for all of my printing needs. I haven’t even had to replace the starter ink yet, though I was sent the replacements already. Overall, for occasional print jobs, this printer gets it done.
