We needed a printer to replace an 11-year-old HP inkjet that worked fine but could no longer find ink for. This printer was (1) on sale and (2) actually available, so it fit the bill. We only print once in a while so we don't really need the Instant Ink feature - and it's not required to enroll in it, so that's a plus. Make sure that when you read reviews about how someone only got a few print jobs out of the ink cartridges that come with the printer you understand that those are SET UP cartridges. So - you'll need to order replacement cartridges when you order the printer to avoid unwelcome surprises. Set up was pretty simple out of the box. It's a little larger than I expected but not so big that it won't fit virtually anywhere. The control panel is pretty intuitive. Setting up the wireless aspect was a little more time-consuming that I thought it would be. You can put it on your network or use the WiFi Direct feature. I have used both to see which I prefer and honestly, it doesn't make much difference to me. I downloaded the app from HP to my phone and it works fine. If you don't want to mess with wireless, you can still use a USB cable (but make sure you have one handy). All in all, for the price it's a good printer. It's only been a couple weeks, so that verdict could change as we use it more but as of now we are happy with it.

Very easy installation. Pleased with how every step is given to you in detail so that installing and using is super user-friendly. The ink enrollment is also helpful. Great quality printing so far, I don't use daily, but I print occasionally for my work or things for home, and its great for that. Wifi connected so my network recognized it right away and set up was very simple.

Bought this printer for use at home. Had to call tech support but IT guy was super nice and got my problem fixed right away, which was actuallly an issue with my computer, not the printer. Printer works great.

If you don’t need to print prodigious amounts, this printer is the way to go. I bought it for my 90 year old dad, who prints occasionally. Now he can print over the air from his iPad. Great!

After spending hours the day before with a Canon printer that claimed to be AirPrint compatible, I bought this printer. The reviews said it would work for wireless printing and with AirPrint, and it couldn’t have been easier. I set it up in no time and the thing prints great! I had to get rid of a problem Epson printer that had to be recalibrated every single time I printed. So I really appreciate how easy and reliable this printer is. Love it!

So I purchased this printer for personal home use and at first I wasn’t impressed because I didn’t like the fact you had to save documents to the computer to attach it to an email. I was used to my old HP printer you did everything from the screen. But after sitting down figuring everything out I am truly impressed by this printer HP have did it again on yet another great product. Great price. Not to bulky just right for personal use.

I've bought HP printers in the past and love the fact that their ink actually lasts! I bought this one for my niece in college for just that reason and that it is very simple to set up.

I bought this printer after my 6-year old HP printer died. This new printer was easy to set up, did not require any drivers, connected quickly to the wireless Internet, and works fine. It’s a low-end printer so don’t expect a ton of bells and whistles, but if all you need is a printer to print basic documents, this one works just fine.

With my HP - OfficeJet 3830 Wireless All-In-One Instant Ink Ready , I am always ready to print, scan, or fax with ease. It's very simple and easy to use . Only 2 ink cartridges are need, one for the black and one for color..Not like some other printers that require you to purchase 3 to 4 color cartridges and a black. It's small and compact size makes it easy to store on my desk. I recommend this printer for everyone.

Good print quality. Kind of slow but adequate for the home office. Took a bit to get the "scan" feature working (some software installations) but otherwise set-up was quick and easy.
