Annoying
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to connect this thing to the internet every single time I want to use it. I'm having issues with this printer already.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scan feature has given me many issues. Used HP scan doctor and it doesn't help at all. Fax option is unavailable because phone cable was not included in my box even though it was stated while ordering

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer’s scan function is working like it should. I can understand why that would be quite frustrating, especially considering you used the HP Print and Scan Doctor with no resolution, so I’ll offer some resources and information that I hope will help.
I can’t tell from your review what scanner issues you face or why the Print and Scan Doctor did not help, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Not so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer kept jamming right after I purchased it. It finally jammed and there was no paper to remove, it just would not work. The print quality was poor, when it did work. I gave up and gave it to someone who likes to fix things.

Poor Scan Quality, Unreliable, NO 2-SIDED PRINTING
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a waste of money. If I were not in Quarantine, I would return this item. I purchased this to print off my outlines for law school - I would rather return is, for the following reasons: The scanner leaves smudged on the final electric version of the scanned document. There is no 2 sided printing option, although the description and advertisement indicated it was. The internet connection is unreliable and spotty. I had to purchase a separate hardwire cord because the wireless option was not consistent and only worked for me once. Do not waste your money.

Posted .Hi, Kathy.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not performed like it should. I can understand how scanner issues, the lack of two-sided printing and connectivity issues would add up to a big frustration. With that in mind, I’ll give you some resources and information I hope will help.
First, if you haven’t already, I suggest you follow the steps in this guide to improving scan quality, including poor resolution, vertical lines, incorrect colors or color bands in the computer file or printed version of scans:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05343887
Regarding the duplex issue, I reached out to a person who oversees this product line, and he said a manual duplex feature exists in an updated driver. You can find that along with other software for your printer here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-3830-all-in-one-printer-series/7172321

Worst printer I've ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't print color from Office 365, downloaded the additional driver per other blogs stating they had the same problem. Never wakes up from sleep mode when I am just trying to make a copy, I have to completely unplug it. Bought in Aug 17, only owned for 6 months and now it will not print anything. I've run alignment and cleaned cartridges which is does print but, but when I go to make a copy it comes out blank. I've had other HP and no problems but this one is a piece of junk.

win some lose some
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I opened the package, there was a lot of packaging to remove. I thought I'd gotten it all but then I kept getting a message that there was something floating around inside. So I ended up yanking on what I thought was a piece of tape which turned out to be a plastic strip connecting the printer to the power cord, so the printer wouldn't turn on again. Since it was after the return period had ended and I didn't want to throw good money after bad trying to fix the problem, I decided to just consider it a loss and instead bought new ink cartridges for my old printer.

Poor Quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is not of the quality I expected, I was excited at the reduced price. Did not return because it serves my current purpose. Next time I will purchase an HP Envy like before.

Just okay, until it wasn’t.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer worked okay for a year or so. It developed a problem with jamming paper. The last time it jammed, the guidance system broke and that was the end of the printer.

slooooow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for one reason to print my school work; I took me at least an hour just to print 8 pages this weekend. It should be simple connect to wifi/ laptop and print. The actual process of printing is very slow. If you need to print more than one page at a time forget it you'll be there for an hour. I wanted to throw that printer across the room and just go to the library.

Color Printer that Refuses to Print Color
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just received this printer and the first time I attempted to print color I noticed there was no option in the settings. It printed the demo page in color, but I couldn't find a way to get it to print color otherwise. After hours on the HP support page and uninstalling and reinstalling and changing driver settings, nothing. It still won't print color. I don't recommend anyone buy this printer.

No good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer wasn’t the worst I ever “tested” but this was not what I needed. I hardly print but when I do it needs to be good quality! This printer did not meet the good quality expectation.

Do NOT buy this printer.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was always someone who read reviews and laughed at poor experiences - I now feel your pain. This is a TERRIBLE printer. If I could I would give this printer zero stars. It works great in the beginning but as weeks go on - you can no longer print without it being a PDF. It's constantly offline and sometimes when you hit print, nothing prints out. You're unable to pause, push it or do anything with it. Terrible printer, HP is a disaster, refund my money.
