||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer charges you when you copy paper and print paper. Also when you set up you need to set up plan ,if you don’t then the printer won’t work. We have to pay everything for this printer! I don’t recommend this printer. Don’t buy!

Terrible/ Belongs in the garbage
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer worked like three times and then it constantly started jamming. In addition I would not recommend it for people who like to print double sided. You have to feed the paper back in, and it more of a nuisance.

Worked less than a year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked fine for six months, then quit working. When we send it a print job, it just sends the paper through and doesn't print anything. We've checked the cartridges, they are fine. Not good.

Worth $50, which is what I paid for.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old Epson has bitten the dust, which required me to get a new printer. It had a good run--it's lasted from 2014, which is satisfactory for a mid-to-low range office printer. But I don't print as much nowadays, and for something that requires a lot of printouts, I do have an old laser printer on standby. What I needed was something for occasional color printing, possibly for printing and sharing cat pictures. Maybe. I'm kidding. Maybe. I've hence picked up this bottom-of-the-barrel "OfficeJet," which is probably not very befitting of the old name. Did they put that name on this device because it was technically a multifunction printer with fax and scan capability and automatic document feeder? Probably, yes. Would I actually use this for office duty? With no paper tray and feed-from-behind paper slot only taking in 35 pages max (note: do not try to put in actual 35 pages, for it will jam), no, I would not use it for office duty. And I am sure I have seen the exact same ink cartridge from 1998, which probably means the 1200dpi mentioned on the box is likely a hilarious joke. Do not buy this printer if you do not plan on using HP Instant Ink. The print quality is fine, and speed is actually faster than what I have expected, which I am pleasantly surprised by. Compared to the laser printer, black-and-white documents are not as sharp, and regular font on the inkjet printout looks like bold version on the laser printout. And for color printout--doesn't look very good, either, at least not until you use the high quality setting for color. With regular print settings, you'll be met with overlap lines that are sometimes very noticeable. While it'll be slower to print, I do recommend you print in color with high quality settings if you have any pictures you'd like to show other people on the document. Sometimes some stray overlap lines would show up, but it wouldn't show up in most cases. Again, do not buy this printer if you're not going to use HP Instant Ink. HP Instant Ink is flat rate. Meaning, you can literally print a borderless printout of a night sky for 50 pages and it'll cost exactly the same as if you printed a 4x6 picture of a close up of a snowfield at noon. If you decided not to do that, though--hoo boy, you're in a world of pain, as this used to be HP's way of making mad bank: cheap printers, expensive inks. Case in point: 63XL black ink used for this printer yields (theoretically) 480 pages, at $35. My old Epson printer had ink that would run me $30, but would print 945 pages with same theoretical standard. Print quality is worth $50, but if it matters to you (to be honest, if it actually mattered, I doubt you would have been looking for a $50 printer) consider higher-end machines like Epson WorkForce or OfficeJet Pro. And if you don't routinely print full-page pictures on the printer, something like Epson EcoTank looks mighty tempting, while OfficeJet Pro still allows you to take advantage of Instant Ink program with better print quality. And if you don't really print color at all--may I suggest laser?

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the worst printer I have purchased. I need it for school and I can't print anything without getting some sort of error message. Definitely not worth the money.

Exceeded expectations (expected it to be terrible)
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think I must have printed like 10 pages with this printer before it stopped working altogether. It was cheap, though, so I didn't have great expectations. Those expectations were exceeded

Absolute worst printer I've ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is terrible. After a single page is printed the printer stops printing stating that there is no more paper. You would have to press the okay button to continue printing the next page without even adjusting anything.

Lightweight printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband purchased this a a birthday gift and I was so excited! However, it is defective because it keeps losing wi-fi connection from my hp laptop to the printer. Strangely it does not lose connection to my router; so, sadly I will be returning this printer.

Avoid at all cost
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid at all cost. This is difficult to use, it does not last very long before problems arise. HP is still my favorite brand but this particular model was a total miss for them.
