Seems good so far
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My HP 6250 quit printing black after 3 years and the print head was not meant to be user replaceable. So I chose to go new, rather than store repair if that was even possible; you know how that works, printers are just disposables that you need to budget for. This Officejet 4650 uses different ink carts, of course, so I had $80 in old carts I couldn't use. These new black ink carts run out just as quickly. The printing is perhaps a bit faster, but noisier. The scanning is definitely faster. Multi-page copying is possible from the top-feed, which is handier than the single page process of the 6250. Envelope placement for printing is clear. The paper tray is hard to pull out but not quite problematic. Mobile friendly: I got a Best Buy email which called out to the new printer; I acknowledged the request on the printer and it handily printed the attachment. Wifi printing works fine. I can recommend this printer but not expect a long life from it.

Printer is relatively easy to use & has ink plan.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer is wireless and was easy to set up for a non-tech savy person. Like having the option to have HP ship ink as needed. Saves time and cost. Good to have the option to switch to black and white and reduce costs. One reason for buying was to have scan, copy, and fax options on one printer. Good and affordable choice.

Perfect printer for basic home use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a printer at home for my kids to print their school work and for me to print various things off the internet (maps, certificates, coupons) and this printer fits the bill. So far I have no complaints. We have set up as a Network printer and it was pretty easy to set up all of our laptops to connect directly to it and print to it. If I were to complain about anything it would be the paper tray. It's a little hard to pull it out, as it it is small and low and kind of flimsy, but aside from that I can't think of anything else I don't like. The setup was easy, the cartridges seem to stay full for a while and everything is clear and crisp. We have tried the scanner and it works well, too. I am a great fan of HP printers and this one does not disappoint. I have a trial of the ink service and that has worked well so far too.

Fantastic Printer, the best I've owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My printing needs are for light home use on average with some occasional spikes in my usage activity a few times a year - tax season, holidays etc. The setup was very simple and I loved how "clean" it was. You can start the process online or through your printer. I did it entirely online. It guided me through all the steps and in the end asked me if I wanted to create an Instant Ink* Account (more on this later). The whole process took about 30 min, including installing and setting up the app on my phone, setting up HP ePrint service and setting up the Instant Ink program. The printer itself looks pretty great and very minimalistic. I tested the automatic feeder scanner and the scan quality is excellent. The HP app on the phone gives you an option to scan documents directly using the phone camera and very smartly parses the data on the documents. The scan quality through the phone's camera was on par with the scanner bed of the printer during my two tests. Print speed is decent for B&W prints and slightly on the slower side for color prints. The boot up time especially for the first print is slower. The print quality for B&W is good and average for color. Both are comparable to printers in this segment from HP and Canon. This printer also supports Wifi-Direct print so you can connect to this printer directly without needing your router. It's good to have but I disabled this for security reasons. The touch panel for controls is pretty decent. Not the best feedback or latency but it's alright for this segment and any day better than hard buttons . What I loved about this printer was the auto deploy of the output paper tray bar when you print something. Overall, I am very pleased with this printer and the features it offers. I also got it for discount during the back to school promotion and combined that with one other offer, so I paid much less for this printer than shown here. The printer cost me the same as my year's worth of ink cost for my last printer. *Instant Ink Program I was looking to replace my old Canon All-in-One which was costing me quite a lot in ink. I have tried them all - refilling, using cheap ink, OEM branded and original. Original was of course the costliest but gave me peace of mind, knowing that I won't have to worry about getting my hands dirty, ink leaks or quality issues. I would go about one XL B&W cartridge and one XL Color cartridge for a total cost of about $50+ in a year. After doing some math, I concluded that even if I go with the $2.99 plan with occasional overages in the months I go over, I will still come out ahead annually. So Instant Ink was a definite go-ahead in my case. If you print in color more, you will save even more with Instant Ink. The added benefit of getting my ink delivered to my door without worrying about it was certainly a plus.

Nice printer and quiet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this printer recently and one of the features I like is that when I print it is much quieter than my previous HP printer. This is fairly important to me as I sometimes need to print something out at home while other family members are sleeping. I have been using Instant Ink for quite a while now and I do like the convenience and cost. The printer meets my requirements. I print shipping labels and packing slips. My daughter sometimes needs to print school work.

Best printer I've ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having gone through several frustrating printers from other brands, I took a chance on this one due to the positive reviews. It's the best printer I've ever had. Super easy to set up (on every device in the house...laptops, iOS, Mac, etc). Wifi printing is excellent. Prints beautifully and the on-screen instructions are very clear, if I've forgotten how to do something (online help is also very helpful). Would highly reccommend!

Quality product packed with features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer for my home office. Needed one that had all the features, was reliable, low on maintenance, and of good quality. This was ticked all those boxes. While the overall look is sleek the only con of this product is that its bulky (I had to mount it on a separate table).
