We had a little trouble getting started. The printer goes into sleep mode, but when you hit the power button it shuts off so you have to either power down n back up or send your print then cancel and resend.

This printer is really great, it is fast and will print on both sides of the paper with its built in duplexer. Although I did not need a new scanner this MFD was reasonable priced so I got it.

This printer works well and has quite a few features for the price. The only thing I had problems with is dealing with the auto off feature which is new to me. Once I got used to that, everything was fine.

Switched to this printer as an upgrade because of the faxing option. Figured how to connect all my laptops to it but still confused on how to set up the fax.

I like HP printers and the all-in-one printers seem to best choice. I have an OfficeJet 6500A so, when my in-laws printer cartridges were discontinued we decided to purchase this printer.

This is a nice printer and fax. I had a little trouble setting it up initially without a second number. I finally just called the phone company for a virtual number and it worked great after that.

We bought this printer for my son to take to college. HP always has been good for us, and that is still true. He loves it, very dependable and fast for the price. Best deal of the day

I have been getting HP printers for quite a while. This one is the best by far. Also because of a special sale, It cost less and had more features than the original one I was looking at.

I really like the HP products. This printer is good. I am having a little trouble figuring out how to print from the glass. I guess I just need to work at it a little more. Everything else is great!

I had an older HP printer which just couldn't do what I needed anymore. I got this newer model & feel it was a Big improvement. It was definitely a great value for the price I paid.

Needed a wireless printing solution for home to replace failed wireless print router. Decent response time, can economize ink use. Can print from Web using files emailed to unique printer mailbox. Kinda cool.

The HP OfficeJet 5740 is a good all-in-one for the home office, with good support for mobile devices. It is sometimes sluggish printing documents. It could do with a bigger paper tray.

So far so good - we bought this to replace an older printer that had started to misbehave. Quality of printing is fine, and it is doing all that we want to do with it now.

So far we are enjoying the printer. Only problem we had was that you cannot have the fax hooked up with another fax machine connected. Not a big deal once we realized it

Set up could be easier & more intuitive, but the unit started & worked me through set up & it's been functioning as needed, with a few paper jams that cleared easily.

Tech at the store recommended this printer and the renewable ink package from HP. Everything I've used works awesome except for trying to fax, it was a bit difficult.

This is a good printer for everyday use. I personally prefer the individual ink cartridges, only replacing colors as needed - no waste, like my old HP that died after many years.

Have had bad experiences with set up and using wireless with previous printers. Not with this one set up was cake and the wireless works as simple as I would like

It basically sets it self up with miner input from the user. Text Print quality is faire for the price, printing pictures is good as well. Ink cartridges are easy to replace.

Have always liked/purchased HP printers. Good features, performance, and quality. Wanted all in one printer with Fax and single color cartridge. Good buy for the money.
