I have had the printer for about 2 and a half months. The setup was simple and easy. The functioning of the unit is intuitive. Scanning multipage documents is smooth. I have no complaints. I gave the product 4 stars because I have noticed that if I use a somewhat lighter paper, sheets get stuck. So it seems like one is stuck with using a heavier grade paper which can increase the cost. Overall, though, a good product for the price.

A person I know really pushed me to get a giant machine by Brother that could print on 11X17, and do double-sided. So I did. It was a nightmare. Four different color inks to buy and have stocked all the time because if you ran out of one (even a color one), the printer didn't work at all. I only used the 11X17 capacity once and it misaligned often enough to make it not worth the paper I was wasting. As for double-siding, it took four times as long to print and usually jammed enough times to make it unbearable to use as a feature. Customer service? Hardly, they demanded so many things before they would even listen to my problem that I often had to hang up, search for documents, and call back later. They never really got to the bottom of my most recent problem, which is why I replaced it. I've always used HP products because they were reliable and customer service actually helped when you needed it. Now that I have an HP again, I'm not going quietly insane. The printer works, consistently, and prompts me when I need to ensure that I have a spare cartridge on deck. The scan-to-computer screen is absolutely idiot-safe and allows me to do a lot of the work I do daily without the nightmares I had before. The image quality is much better than I had before; which disavows the claims that multiple color cartridge machines are truer to color. I also dropped the new cartridge on the floor, and damaged the interface. Tech support replaced the cartridge. It's good to be home.

I needed a printer in a fairly short time frame. I gave myself about a $100 limit when i went to the store. I happen to run into an HP rep that was there and this printer was what he recommend and was only slightly over budget (while being on sale). It came with nfc which was one thing I was looking to get. Getting multiple computers set up to use it was really easy. Haven't had any problems come up yet and the print quality is good. I think it is able to print pictures but I haven't tried that yet.

Easy to use with your home computer & tablet! Fast copying & faxing, but takes a little time to print, but overall great to use for home use!

I love this printer, it does everything I need in a compact size. The quality is great and syncing to my phone comes in handy.

like the wireless print feature from my smart phone. print quality is good and unit is quiet. they like to bug you to buy ink online though.

My new printer was very easy to set up and integrate to my desktop. The speed is good and the page capacity is very nice.

I have owned a few wireless all in ones the last five years. Some even laser jet. This is by far the best overall! Easy to install and use. I especially love the wireless features like the scan and email function without using a PC or MAC. You can scan and email to any email address directly form the printer! I am giving this four stars because the display is so small that when you are typing an email address the keypad is too small to read and touch. I hope future models have a larger user friendly screen.

This printer is the best printer I have ever owned! Print, scan, fax, photos...all over your home wifi network...very cool!

After looking at several models, I liked the design, size, exterior finish, and print quality of this HP Officejet 5740 the best.

I never thought that you had to buy a printer with the same name as your computer, but after I bought my hp 5740, to go with my hp desktop, I have had nightmares with other printers of big brand names other than hp, but this hp printer was the easiest printer to install and it is the fastest printer I have ever owned, . no problem with installing the ink as well. I am glad that my printer problems are now a thing of the past. I would recommend hp printers to all.

It is a good value printer. It might be a little hard to manage for someone not current to today's tech, but any ten year old nowadays can handle this printer easy. Instructions were easy enough too. It's awesome that it broadcasts its own wifi signal so anyone ie guests can print without hassle of cables or passwords.

The sales Representative helped me at Best Buy pick this out. I told him what CPU I had and he said this one would work with Apple Mac. I looked at others he said would work all so, but liked this one the best. He said it could print 8 pictures per minute. It was faster printing then the others I look at. Prints very well. Nice looking. Print cartridges are not too expensive. They even have the ones that last longer and there not much more money either and last a long time.

great printer and very easy to set up, prints great and for copying very easy also have not used fax yet but will soon .
