Ink very expensive..good printer overall if you dont mind paying alot for ink good printer

I've used HP forever.. But this one was too complicated.. I returned it the next day.. :(

Tried installation only to be sent to an HP subcontractor in India. He tried to enslave my computer and convince me to buy security. It took me 2 hours to untangle all his probes into most of my personal files and photos. If you trust them fine, but I would cut them off and start over with the install. It did install with patience.

You tell me I owe for the ink I had to buy. also I cant talk to you about it

Have had difficulty connecting to wifi. Directions aren't clear

1. Inaccurate: "paper tray is empty" when it isn't 2. VERY slow to print single, black and white page. 3. Trouble printing from MacBook Air when more than a few feet away. iPhone and iPad print does work normally.

Mainly used as a printer. Works fine and simple to use

OK, we returned it today, because it was a terrible product.

Machine is a bit loud when first page is printing.

I would have given this product 0 stars if that was possible. The printer worked fine for about 3 days and then at some point the printer stopped recognizing my computer. I purchased the product for work and needed the scan to computer feature the most. After that stopped working I called HP and started a 10+ hour (over 3 days) adventure to speak with someone competent enough to understand the issue and fix the problem. Now I've just decided to return the product and purchase a different brand of printer.

I was convinced to buy this in the Fall of 2014 because of the HP instant ink program that saves money and avoids the hassle of running out of ink in a jam. It does need to be on and connected to the web so that it can communicate ink levels though. (I don't print regularly, so I just turn it on from time to time.) Anyway, this printer does the job and well! It was easy to set up and is very intuitive to use. All of the functions work well, with minor hiccups. I LOVE that this has an auto-shut off to save on energy. It was worth the money, even if you don't always use all of the features. I don't fax anything, ever, and occasionally have to scan docs to my computer. But the fact that it's there and works well is a great asset! Pros: - easy to set up/use (low maintenance) - convenient and cost-effective ink options - great performance (2-sided printing/copying/scanning, fast printing) - compatible with macbook pro retina laptops - Great customer service Cons: - I had to figure out for myself that the retractable print try comes out automatically but has to be manually pushed back in. - 2-sided scanning function isn't the default and is a bit tricky to find

I cannot believe how awful my experience with this printer has been. From day one there were horizontal lines through ALL the pictures I printed. I tried all of the online help forums to no avail and somehow decided to keep it. Just a little over a year later and after warranty just expired, I have to change out the ink. Even with HP brand cartridges the printer cannot align itself and does not print magenta or yellow. $100 printer + $55 refill cartridges that do not work=JUNK! DO NOT BUY

Thank goodness for the 'Geek Squad!; I worked for many hours attempting to connect and set-up this multi-functional devices. The HP technical support was very poor.

A nice copier, printer, scanner. Unfortunately, the color ink doesn't work and I will have to return it to the store to exchange. NOT HAPPY!

Has it's own WIFI that is not compatible with my WIFI. I would have never purchased this printer if I know how awkward it would be.

We had problems from the start. Paper was always getting jammed. Every print job sent out a blank piece of paper every other page. The last straw was when the printer was not recognizing our laptops to print anything. I had to print from my iPhone. I've ordered a new printer and I am staying with HP so they better do good by us or we switch.

The printer works well, however the wireless features is still not working.

This is a great printer. The set up was easy and for all the features it has I thought $99.00 on sale was a good buy. Love the instant ink feature! Works great with and Apple MacBook Pro running the new El Capitan software. I also like the wireless feature. The customer service representative at Best Buy was very helpful explaining the features of the printer and the instant ink program. I am very happy with this purchase.
