Our other HP printer died after many years of home use. This 5740 has done everything it should, so far. We are light home use people. The price was excellent. I needed help online to set it up. The webpage was ridiculous to navigate and it is obvious they don't really want you to figure out how to talk to a person on the phone. Once I did, the tech was fantastic and set us up remotely.

I have been using Epson and HP printers for a while. Canon a couple of times. The regular work - printing - all of them are kind of alike. Differences between speed, number of sheets you can load, and quality are not huge differences, of course as long as you use the quality of ink. The OJ5740 has wireless comm and regular USB. So I planed to use the wireless for convenience. However, this printer for me was outstanding. First installation procedure (drivers, applications, and even direct panel configuration for wifi) was extremely simple. Some printers require you plug them first with USB. This one no. I took probably 2-3 minutes for the whole setup. Second the double side printing is something I've been wanting for long, but afraid of jams. I have printed so far over 200 pages, double sided and not a single jam. And then the anounced features: good speed, auto-feeder for copy and scanning, photo-paper tray, touch display, etc... well. Next printer it's going to be defunetively an OfficeJet. And the price is totally fair.

Easy to use and print quality is great. Can easily print from multiple devices.

I had a few minor conflicts with setting up the fax. I called my service provided a little assistance. I tried to first contact HP Customer Service but there was no listed phone no in the packing materials and the online infor only went to an online account with HP not responding. Other than that it seems like a very good printer for the steal of a price of $59 due to a 4 Hour special email from Best Buy.

Really like this printer and all the functions it has. Produces good quality in good printer speed. However, scanning and emailing from the machine produces a "from" email address that is not mine and has been confusing to clients it is sent to. Workable, but annoying having to explain to everyone what to look for in their mail.

I love all the features of this printer. It has print, copy, fax and scan modes.

Love the Eprinter capability. I use it all the time. Easier to use from IPhone than from desktop if you want to change photo paper to smaller size. Wish ink would last longer. Extra long cartridges would help. You do have to have a bit of tech knowledge to use with ease. Not particularly ideal for those who are not familiar with basic Information technology. If you have, then it will be very easy to use.

Not able to use photo paper on hand, but is easy to use. Wireless printing works well.

My old printer was given to me as a gift than two years ago and It did not have the capability to print from my iPad which was very frustrating for a coupon shopper. This printer works like a wonder. It was easy to set up,and a breeze to use. I can now print from my iPad anywhere in the house. Mission accomplished!
