Discovered that not ALL 950 replacement cartridges will work in this printer. The "e" series must have a specific chip to make the printer accept the replacement cartridge (8015 vs. 8015e). Am almost forced to buy HP cartridges. But I got a good deal on the printer - was easy to install. Something to consider if I ever need to replace this printer.

I gave it 4 instead of five stars because i have not yet used all its features. The three months of free ink paid for the printer and hp's delivery and recycling program is a huge boon to those who print frequently.

It will not stay connected to the network or the devices connected to it. The print quality is good and it prints faster than my last printer. If I could get it to stay connected it would get 5 stars.

However, I have spent double the cost of the printer in ink in 18 months. I only printed a few pages a month, most often in draft mode to save on ink. I would shut down the printer when I finished printing in the way recommended by the manufacturer's instruction. This did not help in any way to slow down the ink usage. I went to the large ink cartridges thinking they would last me longer. Nope! I watched my large magenta ink cartridge on my screen go from half full to 25% full just from the printer booting up. (And remember, I said I followed the manufacturer's instruction on how to shut down the printer to prevent this from happening.) I will never buy an HP printer again. I have switched back to Epson--and one that uses bottles instead of cartridges!
