  • Black ink doesn't last and new doesn't work.

    This was fine until it ran out of black ink before having it for two months, averaging 4 pages a day. When I put a new cartridge in (from Instant Ink) the black won't print. The printer says the black ink is full, but it's not printing. I've taken it out and checked and the black ink has ink in it. My finger was black! I contacted HP and they're sending me another cartridge sometime in the next 5-7 days. If that works I'll come back and edit this.

    This all in one has a flaw that is not curable. When you try to print using the hp app on my Iphone, a tab comes on and blocks the printing. Message says: print again or cancel printing. I called Hp service as the printer is under warranty. They tell me if I buy the direct ink supplies from them, that is will go away. But there is a charge for the smart printer app. Can you believe this. I call Hp almost daily. No hope... $200.00 printer that is xxxx useless.

    Started paper jams and nothing you could do. Also, you have to sign up for HP's Instant Ink program and even after I got rid of the printer HP kept charging my credit card for the Instant Ink, Ugggh!

    Total garbage. The printer comes with ink that can’t be used. You have to sign up for the “instant ink” subscription plan in order to get the thing setup. But this is not noted anywhere so you can spend several hours trying to figure out why it won’t work. I waited too long to try to set it up and now it is nonreturnable. I have had HP printers for a long time however now I’ll be looking for a different brand.

    This printer is frustrating to use. It is impossible to connect the printer directly to a computer with a wire. It must be connected through a Wi-Fi router. Each and every time the power blinks, the printer forgets the settings and needs to be completely set-up again. The HP Smart website forgets the printer's serial number and the printer forgets the router password.

    This is an awful printer. Do not buy it. Every print job I have that will require multiple copies cannot be done in a single print. There is ALWAYS a paper jam. I'm constantly having to fix it, which means there are misprinted pages. By the end of my print job I have a ton of wasted paper. I hate this printer.
