    I purchased this printer in May/2015. I barely used it. Did a large job for a church member and they liked my work so asked that I do another and when I went to print the job needless to say the printer stated the print head did not work. I troubleshot this issue for over an hour bought $80.00 worth of ink. When this did not work called HP customer service, which is just as bad as the printer . Never could get through to the person I needed as they stated it was a long wait. The printer is a piece of junk and the customer service isn't any better. If you value your money don't buy this printer.

    Lasted two months

    This is approximately the eighth HP inkjet printer I have purchased over the past 18 years since getting my first home PC. What a disappointment! While relatively fast and not too loud, it quit working about two months after I purchased it. I kept getting the "There is a problem with the printhead" message; however, HP offered no solutions except unplug and restart and see if that helps. It doesn't. Some research online revealed this problem is rampant with their newer printers. This was the last HP printer I will ever buy.

    Didn't even have this printer 8 months before printer head error. Now have to buy another printer. Definitely keep receipt! Seem to be a problem with this model.

    HP Printerhead defective!!! Don't Buy

    I purchased this printer in July of 2015, it is very cheap, flimsy and now the printer head has stopped dead it its' tracks. I just spent hours on the phone with HP who tell me the Printer head issue is being resolved, but they will need to send me another printer, A REFURBISHED printer!!!! I just paid for a brand new one and they want to send me another junky printer, that is used. No way. I will be working with HP to get my money back. Best Buy evidently only has a 15 day return policy. So upset with this purchase. Better to spend 300.00 for the 8600 series. That's my plan.

    Printhead problem twice

    I purchased this printer model for the first time in April-May of 2015. I chose this printer for many reasons, in summary I really liked it: brand, features and footprint are ideal for my needs.The first printer broke with "there is a problem with the printhead" within three weeks of purchasing it. I exchanged the machine and now, 4 months later it stopped functioning with the same error message. There is a design problem with this printer, I am not buying it again nor do I recommend it to anyone, I've wasted too much time having to unpack, install, repack, exchange, etc.

    I bought one in February, in March i had printhead problems. HP sent me a refurbished one. Now I am getting printhead problems again. Not fun! Dealing with HP Technical Support is not fun either.

    WORST PRINTER ON THE MARKET

    THIS IS THE WORST PRINTER ON THE MARKET. I BOUGHT ONE HAD HAD TO REPLACE IT TROUGH HP 6 TIMES AND EVERY ONE BROKE. I JUST BOUGHT THE NEW EPSON ECOTANK 4500 AND ITS THE BEST PRINTER - DO NOT BUY.

    Bad experience with an inferior HP Printer

    I read all the reviews on this printer and none warned me that after 4 months, the printer head warning would come up. This came up and i googled the solutions to fix it. THERE WERE NONE> Apparently its a common problem. I called warranty support and they didn't even hesitate in telling me they're sending a REFURBISHED one that will only come with 90 days warranty. What a joke. Im over with HP

    Great features if working

    Love all the features of this printer but had to replace three times. My rule of thumb is three strikes and never again. The first time the printer was replaced after a little over a year. It just stopped printing. Since I had the 2 year protection plan, printer was exchanged for my second printer. This printer just stopped printing after few months. We exchanged for a third printer on May 3rd and by May 10th, the printer on-off button just stopped working. Thus, as soon as I can, printer will be turned in for a full refund!

    I am on my second. The first one died in two and a half months, the replacement lasted only six weeks. On both printers the error message was "There is a problem with the printhead" and nothing would print, even after changing cartridges and following all the other steps on-line support gave me. Do Not Buy This Printer...you will regret it.

    Gets the Job Done - But Defective

    A few months after buying the printer, upon recommendation by Best Buy staff, I started getting a print head error message and the printer would no longer print. I contacted HP support and, no questions asked, they offered a replacement. I did some research and this is a very common problem with this printer.

    This is a horrible printer. I thought it just needed time. At first the prints were not as vibrant as they were in the store. In time,it stop printing all together. It has an error message"there is a problem with the printerhead". I tried to call hp because I did not get the geek squad with purchase. They want me to pay 79.99 to have them help me with the problem. I paid 149.99 for the printer! I will never buy a hp printer again.
