Didnt last long
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this printer until now.It was slow, but it did all my printing jobs. But then last week, in the middle of printing, it said"theres a problem with the printhead", and thats where it stopped. I called support(which is a hassle to get a real person), and when I finally got someone-she told me they cant repair it.SO they are sending me a new one, since it was still under warranty, but I'm not sure I really want another one.I dont think any printer works for more than a year, which is pretty discouraging

Doesn't Last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer worked ok for awhile. I rarely use it (on my second set of ink cartridges). Tried to print out some papers for our vacation a couple days ago and it says there's an error with the print head. Talked to HP and they said it needs to be replaced. I've had it for one year and two weeks so I'm out of warranty. Not worth the money

Don't Waste Your $$$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feedback : I purchased printer #6830 from Best Buy. It lasted through the ink cartridge that came with it. When I installed NEW HP CARTRIDGES into it, it gave me the "problem with printer head". I researched this and it seem that literally hundreds have had the same problem. Even though the printer is only 5 months old,

Horrible printer - does not deserve a star
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this printer for 4 months and have only printed 30 pages, which I consider very light usage. After not using the printer for 6 weeks, I tried to print and received a "printhead" error. The good news is I'm under warranty, so HP will replace it. The bad news is it will take 1 week to arrive and most likely this will happen again with my replacement. Do not buy this printer.

Problem with Printhead
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this printer on 11/08/2015 then 21 days later (11/29/2015) it broke. :( Apparently this printer model has a well known "Problem with printhead." According to HP tech support online "this indicates a hardware failure and the printer requires service or replacement." Really... I haven't even had it for a month, let alone used 1/8 of a ream of paper. Thank goodness best buy has an awesome return policy!

Stay Away - Not reliable printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Second printer (same model) that dies after VERY light use. Not the same HP quality that we were used to for printers. Errors in the print head. You have been warned.

Slow to print and always jams the second page.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased and setup this printer and there's two problems. Problem #1) The first page of every print job takes 5-8 minutes to print. It starts printing normally, then pauses for around 5 minutes in the middle of the page, then finishes it. Problem #2) The second page of every print job ALWAYS jams. This bad boy is going right back to the store-- I'm really disappointed with HP.

Great until it dies
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Go online and check HP Printer 6830 Print head problems. Lots of stories of these printers failing because of this. No way to fix it yourself.... Mine died a month after the warranty ran out and after I bought new genuine HP cartridges.

Junk- Read reviews on HP site-gets 2 stars there
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am on my second 6830 since 11/24/15. After FINALLY getting the thing to work semi-reliably (constant network connection issue, paper jams, wouldn't scan to computer, so scan to email was the only viable option, etc.), It stopped working altogether, giving me a bad print head error message after about only 500 pages. Wow. Worse yet, upon searching for a solution I quickly learned there is none, because the print head is not replaceable. In fact, there have been so many print head failures with this model, HP has set up a fast track procedure for return and replacement of the machine. So now I have the replacement, and, surprise, surprise, I'm having all the same issues as with the original 6830, PLUS a few more. I have wasted hours and hours of time trying to get this piece of junk to work even part time. No more. And no more HP products for me. HP was once the only printer I would buy, but I will never buy another. I kept giving HP the benefit of the doubt after a fax machine died within a year and "couldn't be fixed", and another low end HP printer which I received free when I bought a loptop ("free" should have been the dead give away) was junked after not being able to get it to even print the first page. I guess that's on me, though. Three lemons in a row. Can't make lemonade with these kind of lemons. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy this printer! You have been warned.

This model is trouble.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 5+ HP printers over the years, this model isn't up to standard. There were issues from the start, HP exchanged/replaced the entire thing and it is still inconsistent. I don't know what is different but it doesn't work like it should regularly. Again, it seems to be just this model.

Designed to fail
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Same problem as so many others. Light-moderate home use, one cartridge replacement, then the printer head fails. Will never again buy an HP product.

Not good printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought one in early 2015, stopped working 3 months later due to printhead error. Bought another one and the history repeated. HP 6830 has an unrepairable printhead problem.
