Don't Buy This PRINTER!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It prints much darker than what is seen on the screen and the print quality is very poor. Nothing prints like it appears on the computer and sometimes it's so dark you wonder if it's the same picture at all.

Awful quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer July 2015 and realized in September 2016 it stopped working - it said injection issue. When I finally took it to the store, they mentioned that there is a software issue with the printer and that there was no way around it. Total waste of money.

Print head failure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this printer when it works. After about a month got error message about print head. No way to fix it. HP did replace it and the one I have now so far so good. Looking online, this print head error is very common. I don't understand why HP doesn't remedy this. I've always bought HP but may have to try another brand next time.

Would not load software on laptop with Windows 10
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was running an HP 6700 printer until the paper feed mechanism failed. I replaced it with an HP 6830 but the software load failed when I ran it from the disk so I tried the HP Support. I had three separate chat sessions that each lasted for more than an hour but they could not get the software to load for a wireless connection. The SW did install when I connected the printer to my laptop with a USB cable, but I bought a wireless printer because it sits to far from my laptop to be connected with a USB cable. HP Support installed a generic driver, but that would not enable the printer to 'scan to computer" over my WiFi connection. The software installed easily and runs fine on another laptop that is running Windows 7.

Bought twice. Bad each time.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this printer in July. In November we brought it back because it no longer scanned, faxed or copied. It only printed, but often had to be uninstalled and reinstalled to do even that. We got the second printer in November. By March it no longer copied in color correctly--only green and blue not red in the color no matter how many times the red cartridge is changed, reinstalled, etc. Very unreliable; only the price was good.

Had to replace it twice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer itself functions well when it's working, but we've had to replace it twice due to the "Printhead Failure" error. HP has been good about sending us refurbished replacements quickly, and it's fairly easy to set up, but it is time consuming to repackage the broken printer, set up the new one, and re-download the HP software on both of our laptops. We would not recommend buying this printer - find one that won't break down in a few months.

Print Head Failure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the printer around 2 years ago (we rarely print). Worked great until this morning. Had a Print Head Failure. Did a search and it appears to be a well known/documented problem with this model. Solution.... "buy a new one". You've been warned!!!

Can't scan multiple page PDF's on Windows 7
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent 6 hrs, 5 with HP techs, trying to get this printer to scan a three page file into a PDF. No success. Appears to be a wide spread problem unless you are running Windows 10. Maybe 8 or higher, I'm not sure. Taking it back tomorrow. Gues my HP PC will have to work with an Epson. Very disappointed in HP.

Broke, no warranty service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 9 months of light use, printer suffered a print head error. Got runaround from HP for several months until it was past the 1 year mark and then they refused to repair or replace the printer.

Didn't last 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With very light use, a "print head error" appeared after a few months making the printer unusable. HP sent me a refurbished printer (same model) in exchange and that one conked out after a few months also.
