Great printer, slightly misaligned ADF scanner

The only con with the printer is that the ADF scanner produces slightly misaligned scans. I've tried everything to get it to straighten out. My roommate was so annoyed with the very slight misaligned that he refuses to use it. If scanning perfectly straight is not a 100% priority, definitely get this.

I love my printer

Good for light print duties

Ink cartridges are are on the expensive side, it a person does a lot of color printing. It appears that HP has it programed to REQUIRE the use of HP cartridges only!

Print quality for documents is fine. Copy function also works well. Cons: It is bigger than some printers, yet the paper catching tray is not automatic as it is on my Canon. The picture I tried to print came out with streaks. Hoping to resolve this, but it was disappointing.

After using a few other printer brands, I concluded that HP was probably ready for another try. I chose the Officejet Pro 6978 based on reviews, pricing and what looked to be a good fit with my printer needs. I've used all the functions and have found the 6978 was easily set up, easy to operate and it functioned as advertised. Good job!

I was hesitant at first, as it seemed a little intimidating (I am not the most savvy computer person). It prints well, doesn't have any issues. The feature of HP knowing when your ink is out, is very nice. You do have to sign up for it, but they send the ink before you run out! I print a lot and don't often have the time to stop and get ink. Very much worth our $$
