Excellent Printer

After searching for many months for a printer to replace my older HP model, this model is a perfect replacement. It is lighter than my older model and easier to lift and move.

Printer performing well for light use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The HP 6978 was recommended by in-store salesman and seems to be doing what it is supposed to. Prints nicely in black and white or in color. Copier and Scanner functions perform well too. I don't use the Fax feature. I did encounter some difficulty in getting the device properly registered, but support by telephone got me squared away. Not sure yet if I like the E-Ink supply, we'll see.

Easy setup, maintains itself

The printing went bad on each of them after a little over a year and maintenance never worked completely. This HP printer has been great and I signed up for the HP Instant Ink program with it which keeps me from ever worrying about ink and is much cheaper.

Great Printer!

Easy to get running (about 5 minutes) and it does everything that our family needs! With 3 children ranging from elementary, middle and high school-they all have different printing needs. I recommend getting it with the flash drive option!

The print quality for text, maps, and pictures are very good. It's significantly quieter than the ancient HP printer it replaced. Ink depletion is faster than the older HP printer using standard (not XL) cartridges. Four (4) star rating because it's long term reliability is TBD.

Super fast and stays connected!

Even if it was right next to the router. This one just has to be in a reasonable place to catch the signal and even if you have to reset the router it connects right back to the WiFi. It also prints wicked fast and I love that I can now print double-sided. It saves me a ton of paper as a college student.
