No problems setting up the printer once I went online to read directions rather than try to follow the photo directions. Just my preference. Easily connected to WiFi.

We have used the old printer for almost ten years and decided to have a new one this year. This printer really meets my need. The quality is good and the color is nice.

I don't have a fax line but have used all the other functions in both color and B&W. Setup (Windows 10 and my Android phone) is a pain with instructions that are both unclear and complicated (and I am an IT professional). Some are not correct and some lead you to the HP web site which continually tries to force you to enroll in their automatic ink program and to set up your printer for access via the internet - which is a really bad idea if you care about security. Using the printer from Windows is straightforward Using the copy and scan functions is via the device touch screen and is not straightforward even after a month and several hundred pages of prints and copies. I still am not clear on how to scan to a pdf - and of course accessing the manual is via the HP web site which tries again and again to get you to enroll in their ink replacement program. Printing photos has serious limits - you have to pick a particular size. Loading paper is also awkward. The good things about the device are 1) everything does work, albeit sort of and 2) the print quality is good. And did I mention the automatic ink replacement program? I might give it three stars if it lasts.

      Hi there,

I'm so sorry that you've had a less than straightforward setup process. It's always our intention to provide a seamless experience from the start, so this is quite disappointing to hear about. Let's see if I can help streamline everything a bit with some helpful resources.

First off, I just want to clarify that pages 32-40 in the printer's user guide will detail how to go about scanning to a PDF, among other options. It's unfortunate that you haven't had easy access to this document, so I've pasted it here for you: hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05139126.pdf

Another resource I hope you'll find useful is this guide regarding loading paper, cards, and envelopes: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05076941

If what I've suggested falls short, please don't hesitate to reach out for support. We're always here to help, so you can get in touch anytime via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

This unit can hold a lot more paper and very easy instructions to follow in printing and scanning. I like that I don't have to life the lid to copy and I can copy or scan both sides.

I was concerned because the price was so low but this is a grease printer. It's also fast. When I click on print, I can immediately hear it start printing. Much faster than my last one.

Good printer, easy to set up. Usual problem of ink costing as much as the printer (the cartridges that came with the printer only made about 20 copies) so be sure to buy the XL cartridges.

I recently bought this printer. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I have not had a chance to use the FAX feature. I am sure it works just as well as the other features but I did not want to comment on something I have not tried. This is my 3rd HP printer over the years. Obviously I have not had a problem with the printers or I would not continue to buy HP. Not only is the product great, but the HP people I have contacted over the years have been, courteous, helpful and take time to understand the problem and fix it. This is not to say I have had a lot of problems because I have not. HP is a great company.
