I have used two HP 6940 printers for over ten years. When both of them finally gave out (though not major failures) it did not make sense to pay $65 apiece just for the repair diagnosis. I studied the 6978 machine and decided it was the BEST value and had the most to offer a home-based business like mine. The best improvement is the fact that HP has an ink replacement program that sends you ink BEFORE you need it. The machine also comes with all four inks so do not buy any more if you plan to subscribe to the HP program. It's only $9.99 per month for 300 pages printed.

This is the perfect printer for everyone in the household. You can print from any computer, IPad, or IPhone anywhere in the home.

HP has always made a great printer. Very easy to use, ink program is wonderful, I do not have to remember to buy ink cartridge.

Cant go wrong with hp.. I have a hp computer and the wifi works grate along with it.. No problems to pair it with.. Awesome performance

Does all the basics with ease. Easy to change ink cartridges. Wish it would increase the size of the document. But great for the money. Prints quickly.

After trying to fix and coax my old HP OfficeJet 6700 All-in-One printer to keep on running, it finally gave up and I needed a replacement. But was hesitant to buy a new one. Decided on the HP OfficeJet 6978, which is a sleek, nice looking machine, and quieter than the 6700. I have used it only a few times, and so far, love it!

Nice and easy to use. Really full of features but the WiFi for me is the best one . Silent, fast. Touch display really easy to use.

So far, so good with great wifi reception. Little noisy, but it does have an option to quiet some, but that slows the speed down.
