HP ink is the way to go

What sold us was the HP ink you just pay for every time you need ink. It's only a few dollars for what we use and they ship it directly to our house. The printer was very easy to set up and connect to the wifi. We regularly print from our phones and laptops with no issue. It is a little slower if you are printing a full picture, but it doesn't bother us and rarely do we do that.

Our second purchase of this printer

So, why 4 stars? It's really not the printer, we think, that was the problem with the previous one. The ink program option, though, we think, caused the printer to fail. It is re-used cartridges. Fresh new ink cartridges, though a bit more expensive, are a better idea. Word to the wise: think twice about the "ink program" offered when you buy.
