nice print quality, does "printer maintenance" too

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a 10 year old HP printer that was just worn out. I average about 120 pages per month. This printer has a high page per minute rating, and does print fast. The wireless printing has been very convenient. What I do not like is that on average, when starting to print for the first time that day, it will take approximately 2 minutes to print a page, saying "doing printer maintenance" It has done this from day one, and does not seem to be related to how many pages have been printed (print 2 pages one day, and the next day it has to do maintenance). This is very annoying, and makes me wonder why I paid this price for this printer when I could have spent less than half the amount and had the same overall speed or better with a different printer. There is nothing more annoying than needing one page printed, and waiting 2 or more minutes to get it, while the printer is doing maintenance.
