I would not recommend this to HP Printer to anybody. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It kept loosing the network wireless which was a real pain to reconnect all the time on 2 computers. I would recommend that you buy an extended warranty because this printer will be nothing but trouble. After only a month and a half the power supply burned out and the printer would not turn on. HP's solution was to buy a new cord and then buy a new power supply unit. Thank goodness I had a warranty and just exchanged it for a different HP. Hopefully this problem will happen to the new one.

Not quite comparable to my previous printer. When the ink ran out, I bought some new ones, installed them, and the print quality is not good. For whatever reason, the cyan is not printing and the quality of printing is not good. I removed the cyan, looked it over and reinserted it, but no improvement

After having the printer for a few months the printer started locking up and the only way to unlock is to disconnect the power cord. I also lose my scanning wifi connections & have to reset it. It is very frustrating. I have had HP printer in the past & loved them. Maybe I just got a lemon this time.

This printer is constantly falling off line, disconnecting from my other devices, malfunctioning, and causing far too many pauses and delays in my business operations. HP support takes forever and the reps are forever trying to sell you yet another service. Overall, this machine has brought on more frustration than anything else.

The HP 6978 printer is a downer from the newer brand that I had to return because it had issues. The printing of envelopes are a real trip to try and figure out the sizes, between the printer and the PC and/or laptop. Why can't they just use American sizes and make it a simpler process. I am very disappointed with this printer.

I wish I had my 3460 printer back. With the 6978 one, I cannot fax, have trouble printing and it is V E R Y S L O W ! Also, the monitor says it is the 6970, but the printer has 6978 on it. Could this be the problem? I have to ask a friend to fax and print, as it has to be converted. I really wish I had my former printer back.

Because of a bad experience with a prior HP printer, I was reluctant to buy another HP printer. But it seemed this was the best choice. The problem is that in order to use the instant ink program, you have to connect via wifi rather than hardwire, and the wifi connection is touchy (as acknowledged by HP's tech folks).
