This printer has been a problem from jump. It has always had lines on it when printing. Ink has clogged the heads more times than I can count. These printers don't seem to hold up. This is my second printer.

      Hello Jonny,

I'm sorry that you're having trouble printing right now, but I have high hopes that we can fix this fairly easily.

If the printhead needs cleaning often, it might be that the printer.has been turned off using a power strip or switch. You should always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the printhead is protected from excess drying. That can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.

Just took the printer out of the box and it won't recognize that there's paper in the tray for it to complete the alignment! I've restarted the printer several times, no luck. What a waste.

WORST printer I've every owned. This is my roughly 9th HP printer. Constant paper jams, constant "printer maintenance" screens. Avoid this printer. Spend the extra $50 and get a better model.

      Hi, Mark.

I’m sorry that your printer stopped working. Your dismay comes as no surprise, considering this happened only five months after you’d purchased the device. I want to help you out of this dilemma, so I’ll provide some resources I hope will reach that end.

I can’t tell from your review what issue your printer faces or why it stopped working, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

      Hi,

I'm sorry that you feel this way, but am puzzled about the cartridges "falling out". I have never heard of that happening. The cartridges have a tab that holds them into their slots after they are lowered into place. Here are instructions that picture how that happens: support.hp.com/document/c05072543

I hope you have much better luck with your new printer.
