I like the fact that I can print from my smart phone

Have an older version of this HP office jet and has always been reliable and of good quality. Bought this newer model for my girlfriend for photo printing and its quality is just as good. Being able to use the HP app I can send documents from my phone if connected to the wi-fi. Scanner and top feed scanner look good too. Have never tried using the fax built in, I tried to install it however the HP website itself is a nightmare to navigate took me some time to find the correct driver to install. If just for printing and scanning documents then this will work wondrfully. Also recommend HP subscription ink program.

This OfficeJet Pro 6978 has very good print quality and prints very fast for an inkjet. It was very easy to set up and I like the wireless technology. Very happy with it so far.

I've tried other brands of printers over the years but always end up coming back to the familiarity and relative reliability of HP . Yes , ink costs are usually above average but with my expected usage and how that relates to the Instant Ink program , I have high hopes for lower than average printing costs now . Time will tell but having reviewed the program options I'm pretty certain the Instant Ink program will make a real difference . Add that to the general reliability of HP and it should be a cost effective solution for anyone looking for an all in one that can handle a consistently medium monthly workload - read that as less than 100 pages per month .

I needed to replace an old printer. This is fast and has quality printing. The touch screen and scanning work extremely well. At this price point, I'd recommend this product for work or home.

This printer is overall good quality. Software allows you to even print and scan from your phone, which is nice. We have had some communication issues between it and our new Windows 10 laptop, but otherwise works great.

After using this for a year, I'm kind of underwhelmed. Connection via WiFi or USB has been spotty. Quality is okay. Ink gets used rather quickly -- we've used draft mode just to save on that. The multifunctionness of it works -- we've scanned documents to USB (make sure it's a FAT32-formatted drive), printed double-sided, and even done a bit of TWAIN acquire scanning into Photoshop, but it's not a particularly comfortable user experience. It's...just okay. Also, HP aggressively pushes their ink subscription service and often locks out third-party cartridges. It's almost better that you not register your device with them so you are not harassed with these messages. I understand that the company makes more on the razor blades than the razors, but it feels very anti-consumer.

Printer works great, easy to use and install. The perpetual ink supply is a great feature that I am going to enjoy. The first shipment already came. Prints very clear and bright pages.

My old printer finally gave out after several good years. This was a middle of the line printer but...........WOW !! Great copies. Has anything the home office needs for copies , scanning , E-mail & Fax too.

I haven't had the printer long as of now, however, it was easy to set up and the speed/quality of printed materials is excellent. Photo printing is high quality. Very pleased with purchase.

Printer produces quality printouts. Easy to use when changing paper and scanning. Easy access for changing printer cartridges. Good value for the price.

Thus far, this have been a solid printer - but time will tell. It's fast and has crisp copies, scans, and printing. I also opted for HP's ink program as the printer comes with a small black cartridge and standard color cartridges only. Within a week of signing up, I was sent a full set of full-sized cartridges. I'm on the $60/year plan, so we'll see how that holds. up. So far, so good. My wife and I are working from home (IT work) and it's keeping up for us just fine. Setup was fast and printing in no time. Has a good size paper tray.

My HP printer's quality and ease of use makes for a s tress free product. Easy to follow set up instructions. Quality print and this particular model (6978) was very reasonably priced.

This printer is great just coming out the box. It receives wifi quick and then prints fast. Copies are bright and clear. Definitely recommend.

Very difficult to set up. Doesn't like 5 ghz band and the computer must be on the same band. But it doesn't like Windows 8.1. I really dislike subscriptions and 'forced' APPS. Using the app to install did not help nor register the product as HP claimed. It does seems to scan from glass well and running a folded 2 sided multi page document thru the feeder worked perfectly. Printing PDFs and excel files seems to work well, but printing color photos or Photoshop Elements projects is another story. Color is most often not what is seen on the screen and there is no way to adjust within the printer settings, so it becomes trial and error within the PSE program. I've not used it heavily so I'm not sure about the longevity of the printer. Definitely not what I expected from HP.

Both ease of setup with various devices (iPhone, iPod, tablets, laptops, etc), both the speed vs quality aspects are surprisingly good. Also, it's a rather quiet printer, which comes useful too.

Was looking for a new printer, found this on sale and it is a great printer for the price. It is easy to setup and use. I like I can print remotely through and app and print straight from my phone.

Solid and easy to connect as a wireless printer. Feature where you can print it from anywhere as long as you email the document to the printer's email. Very good quality.

I really like our new printer - it's fast and quiet and so far no problems. It's very easy to use and I can print from my phone and my tablet with this printer.
