All functions are very easy to use - fax, print, scan, copy. It's just a bit noisy and takes a long time to re-set itself if it's not used for a while but it's a pretty good value.

This printer does everything that I need--print, scan and copy. It also is a fax machine but I have not hooked it up and don't need a fax. The print quality is excellent. Also the price was right.

Easy to change paper sizes and envelopes. Plugged in and the setup was quick and faultless unlike another brand of printers. Print quality excellent. Very happy with this printer.

I have to say the had to be the easiest printer I have ever had to set up. It just about set itself up. Plus the feature of scanning documents to my email makes it big plus. Well worth the money.

Very easy to setup. My kids set up their phones and laptops. This was a must have during home schooling !! Copies were printed with very good clarity.

I am loving this wireless printer! It's so easy to set up and the free trial from hp for instant ink is great. It's nice to be able to print from my iPad now. I can finally get rid of my desktop computer!

It copys, faxes, and scans just as indicated. Super simple to set up, even though every time I fax my mom, she yells at me..something about her cell phone not able to accept faxes.

Love this printer, really fast color prints, easy to setup and use. Scanning ability is quite good! Would definitely recommend at a very low cost1

I've made the mistake of going to consumer reports and blindly purchase the printer that was tested as the best. By the time I purchased the printer, newer models had already arrived at the store. I replaced my 6300 model HP with the 6978 All in One. I installed on my father's win 7 machine, my laptops & my phone. This printer automatically downloads firmware updates. I found out at 4:30 am one morning. Installation was easy on all devices. There is an optional ink service that was offered but I declined. Ink is expensive and I rather maintain my control when to buy ink. I would not hesitate to recommend this printer to a friend.

This is a great printer for the average person. Does everything you would want it to with ease. Print fax scan you name it. Very user friendly setup would recommend

Prints great. Easy setup and convenient to use from my phone or Mac. And I love the hp instant ink service.

This printer is so great that I bought a second one for my son in college. It is a reliable wi-fi printer, and can scan as either pdf or jpg. I highly recommend this product.

Very difficult to set up. Doesn't like 5 ghz band and the computer must be on the same band. But it doesn't like Windows 8.1. I really dislike subscriptions and 'forced' APPS. Using the app to install did not help nor register the product as HP claimed. It does seems to scan from glass well and running a folded 2 sided multi page document thru the feeder worked perfectly. Printing PDFs and excel files seems to work well, but printing color photos or Photoshop Elements projects is another story. Color is most often not what is seen on the screen and there is no way to adjust within the printer settings, so it becomes trial and error within the PSE program. I've not used it heavily so I'm not sure about the longevity of the printer. Definitely not what I expected from HP.

HP6978 printer was easy to install with on line directions. It worked perfect right out of the box. I had a older HPprinter and this is much faster and clearer. It prints on both sides with ease.

I have been using HP products for quite a few years. This printer was the easiest printer I have installed . It does make a little noise but it prints great. Good going HP

We use this printer in a setting where many people connect to it wirelessly. Very easy and being able to email a document to the printer is even better! Oh, and it prints well too!

I have an HP computer and nothing but good to say about it and now we have an HP printer. The same with the printer. No problems and prints beautifully. The price was certainly right!

Compact and so easy to set up even for this senior! It has all features of an office printer, easy accessible USB port, can print letter, legal and pics! Great price point.

The size and weight of the printer are wonderful. The ease is working with the printer wirelessly is awesome. This is our second HP wireless printer and the first one is why we bought a second one.
