Very difficult to set up. Doesn't like 5 ghz band and the computer must be on the same band. But it doesn't like Windows 8.1. I really dislike subscriptions and 'forced' APPS. Using the app to install did not help nor register the product as HP claimed. It does seems to scan from glass well and running a folded 2 sided multi page document thru the feeder worked perfectly. Printing PDFs and excel files seems to work well, but printing color photos or Photoshop Elements projects is another story. Color is most often not what is seen on the screen and there is no way to adjust within the printer settings, so it becomes trial and error within the PSE program. I've not used it heavily so I'm not sure about the longevity of the printer. Definitely not what I expected from HP.

Performs all functions very well. Everyone in the house can use it since it is wireless. Scanning is quick, faxing works well, and printing is fast and clear.

Very easy to set up and quick to print regardless of whether I am on my desktop, iPad, laptop or cell phone. More compact than printer it replaced. Very satisfied

I needed a printer for my home office after my previous one suddenly stopped working. Then print quality is good. I also like the the color printing and scanning features.

8 am very happen with this primter. I had a Canon multifunctional printer, but this is better to me. The color is good 9n the pages,it was easy to set up and I came remote print to it.

This a probably the best printer you will find for the price. I highly recommend it. Crystal clear pictures and print. What more could you ask for at less than $100

Very easy to set up and connected to the wireless network both at home and also in my daughter's dorm room. Only downside is the ongoing cost of ink compared to my laser printers.

Gave this to my granddaughter for her college printing. Now her Mom is also using it to print work stuff at home. Both love the ease of use and reliability (so far)

This printer has excellent print quality and is easy to use. I use Linux on my computer, this printer had no trouble working with Linux. The scanner works with Linux also!

Printer does a great job on documents. Like that it prints on both sides of the page. Copier and scanner also work with ease. Unit was very easy to connect. Only negative is photo printing.

Great for home, school, or office. Easy to use, quiet printer, and worth to spend a bit more. Prints wifi, send from laptop, or cell phone directly.

Did my research. Performance, quality and price on this one surpassed all others in ease of use, quality of print, ease of scanning documents, and speed. Recommend this one highly.

I like the speed and quality of printing, ease of top feed copy, and ease of connecting to computer. Would like a larger screen and pull out paper tray for 8.5x14 paper. Overall satisfied.

Oh boy did I need a new printer! Checked out all of them on one visit to Best Buy. Then went on line to check out the reviews and more in depth information to make sure I would get what I needed, oh, and maybe a little more, of course. This is not the top of the line, but trust me, it is right up there as perfect as most people would ever need. . . And as I said, even more than most people will ever need. I have had different brands, but my last one was a HP and was better quality than the other brands I had, so of course I was naturally drawn to the HPs. Did look at other brands, but this one was by far the best value for the quality.

This is a early review hence 4 stars. Let me tell you that this is probably my 11th printer in 7 years, I finally came to the conclusion that if it's more expensive, it does not mean it'll last longer. Out of box installation and connecting to wifi router probably took about 10 min, very easy straight forward installation. Have not used it much but quality is excellent and it actually looks nice and doesnt look cheap.

I have owned the printer for about a month. I am not a heavy user, so I can't judge the cartridge econ. I had trouble setting up the scanner, which is something I use regularly, but finally figured it out. Set up was fine with no hiccups. All in all, it is working fine, nothing special.

The printer was easy to set up until I got to setting up the scanner. I called HP support and the support tech couldn't have been better. With my approval, he downloaded and set up required scanner software to my computer and the scanner on the printer now works great. I also have an HP 3830 printer but I needed a printer that could scan and print two sided pages. It can also read single sided pages and print them in two sided format, or go from two sided to one sided. I'm very pleased with this printer and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good new printer.
