This printer has excellent print quality and is easy to use. I use Linux on my computer, this printer had no trouble working with Linux. The scanner works with Linux also!

The printer was easy to set up until I got to setting up the scanner. I called HP support and the support tech couldn't have been better. With my approval, he downloaded and set up required scanner software to my computer and the scanner on the printer now works great. I also have an HP 3830 printer but I needed a printer that could scan and print two sided pages. It can also read single sided pages and print them in two sided format, or go from two sided to one sided. I'm very pleased with this printer and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good new printer.

This printer provides good quality print for the cost. It was easy to set up and get operable.

Very easy to set up and connected to the wireless network both at home and also in my daughter's dorm room. Only downside is the ongoing cost of ink compared to my laser printers.

8 am very happen with this primter. I had a Canon multifunctional printer, but this is better to me. The color is good 9n the pages,it was easy to set up and I came remote print to it.

All I can say is that this little printer has been getting the job done for over 9 months now, it has not slowed and is still giving me high quality prints.

I recently buy it on sale. I found it easy to setup and easy to use. I love that it has loading section by which you can easily copy and scan multiple pages.

Did my research. Performance, quality and price on this one surpassed all others in ease of use, quality of print, ease of scanning documents, and speed. Recommend this one highly.

Printer does a great job on documents. Like that it prints on both sides of the page. Copier and scanner also work with ease. Unit was very easy to connect. Only negative is photo printing.

I bought this OfficeJet Pro 6978 to replace my HP-DJ3755. There is no comparison between these two printers. My 3755 had been having a few issues so I decided it was time for a replacement. The 6978 was on sale and I had some accumulated coupons so I bought it for a total of $3.23. When it arrived I opened the box, and honestly in just over 10 minutes it was up and running all functions, including scanning. This printer seems durable, well made, is moderately speedy and produces a great printed copy. I couldn't be more happy and would recommend this product to anyone. Thanks HP and Best Buy!

Very impressed with this easy to set up, use and enjoy printer, it pretty much connects by itself, nice display, cartridges included, great price.

I bought this printer after my Epson all-in-one died. The reviews on this one were pretty good and the price point is fairly decent. The print quality is really great, and the ability to print and scan on both sides is always a great option. My only real issue is just how slow this thing scans. Other problems is the ability to connect to other computers on your home network. It took several hours for my laptop to be able to use the scanner. The desktop was just fine, but that one is plugged into the printer with the USB, so there were no problems with that.

Oh boy did I need a new printer! Checked out all of them on one visit to Best Buy. Then went on line to check out the reviews and more in depth information to make sure I would get what I needed, oh, and maybe a little more, of course. This is not the top of the line, but trust me, it is right up there as perfect as most people would ever need. . . And as I said, even more than most people will ever need. I have had different brands, but my last one was a HP and was better quality than the other brands I had, so of course I was naturally drawn to the HPs. Did look at other brands, but this one was by far the best value for the quality.

I haven't used my printer much as of right now but the setup process and printing is really easy. Its bigger than what I imagined. And the price is great

I like the speed and quality of printing, ease of top feed copy, and ease of connecting to computer. Would like a larger screen and pull out paper tray for 8.5x14 paper. Overall satisfied.

This model OfficeJet Pro 6978 is very similar to an HP printer I owned previously (the Pro 8600). I was quite satisfied with the operation of the other model and this one has most of the same features and works very similarly. I especially like the double-sided printing and the Wi-Fi option to be able to print from anywhere or any device. I had one incident while copying a document on the flatbed using the touchscreen display on the printer itself. The printer stopped midway through the operation and displayed a message that it was doing some maintenance and not to interrupt. 48 hours later it was still doing "maintenance". Couldn't find any help in the troubleshooting guide for this situation. I finally just turned it off. When it rebooted it worked fine and haven't had any more problems with it. Other than that one incident, it has performed well. I am satisfied with the printer and would still recommend it.

I have owned the printer for about a month. I am not a heavy user, so I can't judge the cartridge econ. I had trouble setting up the scanner, which is something I use regularly, but finally figured it out. Set up was fine with no hiccups. All in all, it is working fine, nothing special.
