The printer is fine. I had a similar HP that lasted for at least 4 years. My problem was understanding how Instant Ink can be avoided. The printer info says it comes with cartridges to get started but I didn't know whether than meant I was committed to signing up for Instant Ink which I didn't want (because I rarely need to use colored ink to make it worthwhile). It turns out that you can decline Instant Ink during the set up process and still use the free ink. I have the cartridges ready for when I run out of the cartridges that came with the printer.

I LIKED THE EASE OF SETTING THIS PRINTER UP. SO FAR, IT PRINTS WELL BUT I HAVE NOT TRIED PHOTOS YET. IT IS QUIETER THAN MY LAST PRINTER AND MUCH FASTER.

Easy set up. Works great for the price. The only thing is when scan documents I can only do one at a time or maybe I haven’t explored it enough.

This printer does everything, print; copy; scan; fax. I have had it a month and everything seems to be running smoothly. I can print from my iphone, ipad and my laptop.

Price was attractive to try and performance has been excellent. Like automated document scan load and feed. Colour printing reproduction seems fine so far. Useful USB port for memory stick option . Wifi has connected with all my devices including the apple range . Only negative was initial setup required several software downloads if you do not use them you may not be able to interface with your computer- see earlier comments from other users (most helpful) but if you do the downloads it works great (and self instals with little problem)

It took a little while to get everything working, but it has been fine so far. We do not copy or print as much as we once did, so our printers do not get heavy service.

I researched online a couple of months looking at several makes and models of printers. My price point was approx $100. I narrowed it down to three printers, two from HP and one from Epson. I waited until all three were on sale at Best Buy. After seeing them at the Visalia, CA store, the choice was clear! The HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer,for the money, was the winner! I was able to purchase the printer and an extended warranty for right at $100. The only drawback is the printer catridges are a bit pricey. After a couple months use, I am very happy with this printer.

Very easy to set up. Printer quality really good. Print speed is what you would expect from an ink jet printer. Scanner works well with documents and photos.

So far happy with the printer ease, quality and functionality. I wish the interface with my iPhone worked a bit better in sizing image to paper. Overall good buy.
