Works great nice printer for the price - it is a big printer

This a phenomenal HP Printer. It prints up to 11X 17 sheets making for great posters for my non-profit. It provides crisp and sharp pictures and first class documents. It is really bargain priced too. Does a great job on scanning also. Great support from Best Buy. This is my fourth HP Pro 7740. It does not disappoint.

We got this HP-7740 printer for home office use. While it has a large footprint it’s worth the space-does everything he needs, including scanning and printing 14x17” architectural drawings. Easy to set up, hasn’t run out of starter ink yet, and I love that I can print wirelessly over the home network from my ipad. I installed it on the home network with Ethernet cable but his Surface Pro prints to it wirelessly as well.

My husband is an architectural designer and was always running to the copy store to print 11 x 17 prints before he ran off to see a client. We got this printer and he's thrilled! He can now do his sketches on tracing paper place them down on the glass and print out his designs. He can then make changes and then print them out to take to his clients. Big bonus is that the prints come out extra dark.

After a little setup, the printer works great. As with all printers, it doesn't work that well with envelopes. However, after printing a few you'll get the hang of it. The big issue I've had is with scanning. As of now it scans slightly crooked. It wouldn't be a big deal for personal use, but I use it for business and it's not perfect.

I have used this printer for a month and it is GREAT! The speed is a big improvement over my previous printer. I love the paper capacities with the 2 input trays. It scans double sided and is a breeze to use.

The composer in my house needs to print 11"x17" music scores. We were told that we needed to buy an expensive laser printer because the ink costs on an inkjet would be prohibitive. Well this printer costs the same to print each page as a laser. It is not quite as fast, but the cost of the printer itself is a fraction of the cost of a laser printer (we paid $189 on sale). We had to call support to get a driver that was necessary to print from our MAC computer. It would have been nice if we could have found that this was the problem ourselves on their website because quite frankly HP's technical support really sucks. We did get lucky eventually and got connected to a knowledgeable tech who diagnosed the problem by connecting to our computer, but not before being disconnected by another tech and holding quite a bit. Also if you do call support you will get a message that tells you to hang up and look online. I don't appreciate being insulated like that. But as the recorded message tells you to hang up, keep saying the word "representative" and you will eventually get connected. So as for the printer, We think for the price this is the best option.

Great printer for price, it’s a little to big but it’s what i wanted

very good use for wide format drawings, crisp colors, fast printing and easy to use.

Awesome printer. The quality of every printing job is just phenomenal. Setup is super easy and I’m not a tech wiz but is very user friendly. It is super heavy I had my husband help me unpack it and carry it. But other than that I am super pleased and excited to have this great printer now. Would def recommend.

The printer is very easy to set-up. Once set-up, it is very simple from a connected computer to send scan orders, including double sided scan jobs, to the printer, with documents in the top feed tray. A wonderful printer / scanner.

Met all expectations for a home office. Works with paper sizes

So far, happy with printer. We bought because it can handle 11x17 printing for small construction company. Looking forward to how much it will help us.

except for the BIG BOX the unit comes in, overall exceeded my expectaions. It was, in fact, the easiest peripheral install I have ever made... The drivers and user interface tools are great and configure with ease over a few simple questions - Somebody did their research - Good work

I work in the civil engineering field and need a responsive 11x17 dedicated printer. I replaced an older 7612 wide format with this 7740. It's an outstanding printer with more memory, paper capacity and speed for printing. The price is incredible.
