    My home printer was an HP printer and it performed well. It went inoperable so I had to buy a new printer. There was another HP printer I wanted but Best Buy had none in stock in a 250 mile radius. I settled buying this model because I needed a printer. Getting it home and using it I am pleased with it.

    These HP printers are a racket. You are put into their Smart category and instead of buying ink, you pay 10 cents a page for every page you print. When I realized this I cancelled the Smart subscription and now am buying my own ink. It was on sale for a very discounted price, which is why I bought it, but the HP Rep who was in the Best Buy store did not tell me the truth about the potential cost of printing a lot of pages. It seems to be working ok now, but have had problems getting it to connect to my computer wirelessly.

    The printer is great, but my Win10PCs don't seem to want to print to it using the new drivers they provide. In order to print, I need to put the file in the print queue, and then "repair" the printer from the control panel, which kicks the file to the printer.

    I have had HP’s and looked at some other brands, but after researching, this one seemed the best price for the options. It was very easy to set up for printing, scanning and even printing from your phone or tablet. Have not had long enough to have an opinion on HP’s monthly ink deal, but so far very happy with the printer and ease of use.
