Horrible Printer, Worst HP ever. 4.8 stars, How?

I have had HP printers most of my life and have typically liked them, the last one being an 8610. I would absolutely not buy the HP 8025e again. It wasn't too bad to get setup, except that you have to download and use the HP Smart App that doesn't work well at all. The printer takes forever to warm up and adjust itself. It takes forever to just print a simple WORD Doc sometimes. It also jams up when trying to print a PDF from a Web site like a Recipe for example. It will print the first page and then lock up. Then you have to cancel the print job. I have retried but it always locks up again. Labels have also been a real pain. Avery 11136 labels for Hanging File folders is so difficult to figure out the directional flow of the sheet of labels that you can waste a few sheets of labels before you figure it out. I use a plain piece of paper first now if it has been a while and I forgot. Then you have to mark the paper front, left, Right, Bottom, etc., and test print and it is still a little difficult. My opinion is the printer is horrible and would not recommend it.

I can wholly understand why poor performance with the HP Smart App as well as difficulty printing PDFs and labels would be a frustrating combination. I want to help you resolve these issues, so I’ll suggest some resources I hope will make that happen.
First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site to installing and using the HP Smart App, especially the FAQ portion, which covers common questions as well as difficulties users have encountered. Find that guide here:

I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the difficulty with PDFs and labels. When printing, I feel it is a bit noisy but makes a great copy.

I also thought there was a photo tray, but it’s for envelopes, and for photos, I have to use large photo paper. I was a little disappointed but it does a good job printing.
