Wanted a good printer for student to do school work during the school closure. Bought this one because I purchased a 8620 model a few years ago and absolutely loved it. HP printers have served me well over the years.

This is the third printer in this series (two 8035's and now this 8025e) over the past two years. The printer has an inherent problem with firmware that eventually makes the printer unable to scan and print. The latest printer I just brought home last Friday, 1/6 with today being Wednesday, 1/11, I have already encountered this problem three times. This is a terrible printer -- what happened to HP quality??? I have bought the Geek Squad warranty and each time I have to return the printer -- three times now! -- I have to pay for a new $50 warranty!! Very unhappy with my experiences with this printer and Best Buy's response to this problem! This is a defective printer and should not be offered for sale in my experience.

      Hi, Cassi.

I’m sorry you’ve had such a dreadful time with the printers you’ve purchased. I can wholly understand why encountering a firmware issue that prevents the device from working – and needing to return to the seller for three units – would be absolutely exasperating. I want to help you out of this dilemma, so I’ll direct you to some resources aimed at making that happen.

I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the proper course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Purchased this printer with my HP Laptop when COVID hit and I had to work from home. The clarity of the scanner was great and the print was clear. I am able to submit documents immediately once signed.

I purchased this because of it's "Print from Anywhere" function. This advertising is extremely misleading. You can only print from a computer or device that has been previously paired to the same network. This is okay if you are printing from a handheld device. This does not work if you are trying to print from your workstation at work, a friend's house, library, or some such location. So, if you are trying to print out a travel itinerary from the travel agents office, you are out of luck. The worst part about this is the tech people at HP don't even know this. During a screen chare phone call, a tech agent screwed up all the settings on my computer. It does not tell you in the setup wizard. It does not tell you in the App. I found this out by reading the pdf owner's guide. I regret the purchase.

Quality of the physical printer is poor. Qulity of printing is good. Their "ink program" is a ripoff!! Once on it you can't get off of it. Any cartriges in the printer will be made inoperable and there is no refund for the prepaid payments you made. Very disappointing for an HP product.

Needed a last minute printer to print a bunch of projects and was well satisfied. Even was offered extra ink at a great price. Love how it can print from my phone because it’s wireless and can place it anywhere nearby.

Set up was easy. Software download completed as directed. Operationally, standard printing appears to function properly but scanning not as simple. Direct scanning to my laptop not allowed without using the HP program first and then its controlled from the laptop not the printer. Operation screen is too small for my fingers and not easy to navigate. Overall this is a good All-in-one device just not a great one like my previous All-in-one which cost less and had more features and a larger operation screen.

This unit scans well, prints well, generally no complaints with performance. I have 2 complaints: 1) Ink cartridge size and price - I would like larger cartridges for the cost. 2) I have yet to figure out how to get it to scan directly to my computer - it keeps telling me I need to sign in as administrator in order to set this up, so I've been having to email everything to myself. Maybe it's me, but I don't consider this simple to use.
