Excellent All-In-One printer for the Price.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid All-In-One Printer Option I ran a business a few years ago and had 3 HP Office Jets Pros of an older model. I think they were 8600s. They were pretty solid All-In-One printer/scanner/copiers. They were fairly durable and I was happy with them, though now I wish this was the model we had. The 8025e is a welcome upgrade all around, showing improved performance in a variety of areas. First thing in the realm of doesn’t really matter but it’s still nice, is the updated aesthetic. My old ones were all black, not horrible at all. But this new white with 2 tone grey looks a lot nicer in my opinion. An important big improvement from a few years ago is the connectivity. I live in the foothills where we have very unstable internet. Wi-Fi devices often are a pain to keep connected. So far this device was not only super easy to connect to my network; it has thus far stayed connected! I think they call it Self Healing Wi-Fi, this might be the single thing I am most impressed by even though it has nothing to do with printing. Also a pleasant surprise is the software, the app I installed on my phone has worked perfectly to make for some very easy printing. The touch screen on the printer is more than adequate, easy to navigate with a good touch response. Now as a printer, Id also say it has improved over earlier models. It’s pretty quick, seemed to print pages of text in a couple seconds. Full color prints with pics were more like 6-8 seconds a page. The quality is there as well. Though not near as sharp as my photo printer, it is more than good enough for home office or school work. I printed out a picture, copied it, and then scanned the copy and the scan looks great. The printer comes with six months of free ink, but you have to sign up to a program and give them a cc. You can cancel after six months and not pay a thing, but I declined. I was honestly annoyed that they were asking for a future commitment and a credit card within 15 minutes of plugging in the device. Though it does seem to be a good deal if you print regularly and want to stick with official HP ink products. All in all, this All-In-One gets a solid 5*s from me. It does everything it should and does it well. With a special note of appreciation for its self healing Wi-Fi technology. This is something that needs to become standard on everything Wi-Fi! An app that actually works like it should is nice as well. Oh another improvement is it’s quieter than the previous model too. If this thing lasts as well as previous HP printers I have had, it’s a very good value. If you are looking for a solid but not spectacular all around device at a reasonable price, I would absolutely recommend this to you.

The Reason Everyone Hates Printers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP has reached a new level of awfulness with this printer. It literally will not function without being connected to the internet and also will not function even after connecting to the internet and signing up for an account, installing mandatory software and verifying the status as ready. It kept saying "printer configuration incomplete" after running the setup wizard multiple times, verifying the network connection and printing directly from the HP app while signed in. After finally figuring out this "smart" printer needed to be updated manually i was able to get it to print 1 page at a time before immediately jamming. This thing is terrible.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve encountered such difficulty with your printer. It sounds frustrating enough to receive contradictory messages about whether the setup was complete and the printer was ready, but then to have the printer experience a paper jam after you’d learned how to update the device adds another level of exasperation. I want to help you have a better experience from here forward, so I’ll provide some resources aimed at making that happen.

Very Slow
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It gets the job done, but it's very slow. Update and error messages pop up all the time for no reason. You cannot scan directly to an HP Chromebook unless you have a Mac or Windows PC. You have to manually do it on the printer menu and email it to your account (very inconvenient). HP Instant Ink is the only perk.

what does this mean - title for what? nutso
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the third printer that I bought recently. The other two would not even install - a problem with the software on printer (?). one was Canon, other an HP. This at least installed - as long as it keeps working, it will be my favorite. (You count the characters - I have other things to do. Since you put up the purchase date, I realize that this is one that wouldn't install. When it was supposed to print the alignment sheet, it spit out several blank sheet of paper, then told me to clear the paper jam; there was no jam, so I pressed 'ok'. then the situation was repeated. So, I have to say this printer is no good.

Junk Do not Buy - Cyan wont print after 9 months
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer and after 6 month the colors began to fade to a point where Cyan would not even come out. Anything that was suppose to print in gray came out as pink. This printer also sucks up Ink like crazy. While troubleshooting and cleaning print heads it used up 2 new ink cartridges so I could not continue trouble-shootings. I ended up buying a Canon MF642CDW Laser which is only about $100 more in price. I think in the long run I will save more money on ink and the 8025 waste too much ink, The scanning features a solid and overall functions are ok. I would not another ink jet printer again unless I had to based on budget. If you but this make sure you buy the warranty and stock up on ink as you will need it. I ended giving this to my 7 year to use just to print b/w for school and scan. I like HP printers but after this I doubt I will buy another one.

Not worth the money. Buy a cheaper HP printer.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer about a year ago. Can honestly say the cheap $100 HP printer I bought 5 years ago was X10 better. Does the job BUT it's really slow to start and the ink doesn't last much. Not worth it. You need an HP account via app or computer to scan.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has used ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated and been slow to start print jobs. I can’t tell from your review how many pages you’ve gotten from your cartridges compared with their estimated page yields, but I’ll nonetheless offer some clarifying information and resources I hope will help you remedy the situation.
First, the regular size cartridges designed for your printer have estimated page yields of about 300 pages, whereas the XLs are forecast to produce about 825 pages. If your experience differs vastly from that, here are some things you can consider:
- If it appears that a cartridge was low on ink to begin with, or that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, I recommend that you contact the seller who sold you the items.
- Contact us if the supplies are defective genuine cartridges that are not replaced by the vendor (and they are still within their “warranty ends” date). Reach out to us via this link: support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
- A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer “park” so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.
If the problem persists, I recommend that you reach out to us so we can help you assess the situation and work through any necessary troubleshooting with you. Get in touch via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

I’m sorry to hear that your printer’s scan function has caused you such inconvenience and that you ran out of ink before reaching the estimated number of pages. I can understand why that would be a frustrating combination, so I’ll suggest some things that I hope will help.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common scanning and printing issues. Visit that page here:

If the difficulty is with the document feeder rather than the scanner, I suggest you follow the steps in this guide to feeders that fail to pick up paper or push through too many pages:

Not great wouldn’t recommend
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printing mechanism is bad. It seems if you print something from the internet the paper gets wrapped around the roller in the printer. I have to shut down and unwrap the paper from around the roller. When you scan a document the pdf is Dark and grainy when viewing as a pdf. Nothing positive to say about this printer. I am glad WFH is temporary which is why it was purchased.

Great overall, not jack of all trades though
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great everyday printer for home office. Unboxing: HP does a pretty good job here! Opening will have documentation, the printer, ink cartridges and power included. For a large and tightly packed device, they made it very easy to unpack. The Styrofoam will make it hard to remove but… the printer has a plastic bag that has sturdy handles on it that will allow you to pull it out when the box is set on its side. Great thinking HP! Setup: This is one of the easier printer set-ups I have had. Plug it in (I used wired ethernet), download the HP Smart app, plug it in, remove the usual protective coverings and install the ink. Once that is all done, you can use the setup on screen and tie it together with the app. You can download the app on your phone, PC or MAC. The printer will print out a alignment test page and then have you place it on the flatbed scanner so it can see if it did a good job or not. HP will ask you if you would like to enroll in its Ink subscription program with a free trial. I ended up registering for the $2.99 a month option with 50 pages per month. I usually print less than this and figure that the total $35 a year is about half of what I normally spend on ink with my old printer. If you print less than you register for you can roll over some of the pages to the next month keeping you in the tier you sign up for. Not a bad deal overall! The consumer wins with cheaper ink costs, and HP wins with guaranteed sales. If you buy 3rd party ink, this might not be the best option for you though, but if you buy official ink check it out! Build quality / features: I am overall happy with one exception. There is a flatbed scanner with auto feeder, duplex printing, a large paper tray, and an easy to use touchscreen. The materials are 15% recycled plastic and the device does feel a bit plasticly overall. This is not necessarily bad since it still manages to feel durable and well put together. I will take well-built plastic any day if able. My only complaint in the design of the device is the output tray. I keep my printer in a different room than my computer. It is a minor detail but essentially, if I print a page and forget to pull out the output tray first, the papers will end up on the floor. I really would have liked to see an output tray that automatically extends when printing as many printers offer these days. Again, it is minor, but annoying. There are no front facing USB ports or SD card slots which I have come to see as standard over the years, but I never use those things. The app mitigates this as well as almost all functions can be controlled via phone including direct printing. HP Smart App: I consider this an important part of the printer, so I am including it in the review. You can control many functions through the app, and it is actually more convenient to control than using the built in touchscreen. Ink levels always display on the home screen, a page count for the month is available in the “instant ink” section. You can also control printing, scanning, automated tasks including upload to cloud storage through here which I find highly useful. The app is a great addition to the printer and well-integrated. Print quality: This part is hit or miss. For office work, it is outstanding. Pages print extremely quickly in color and black and white. Quality for documents is a little faded at their default setting but this is easily fixed in settings. I printed a few photos on glossy photo paper to test it out and results were mixed. Overall pictures came out well but, in some instances,, black and which photos and photos with a lot of blue hues came out oversaturated with a blue tint. Also, in some of the color photos, it is easy to see some dithering in the lighter portions of the picture. I would not recommend this printer for serious photo printing but overall, it is not that bad. For Photographers, keep a proper photo printer available. For everything else, great work! Overall: I highly recommend this. HP has greatly simplified my printing process for receipts, documents, copying and scanning. Photos are average so get this if it is primarily for business or home office needs. Setup, maintenance and use are all extremely easy and it is worth checking out the subscription service to save costs and trips to buy ink.
