It was good while it worked
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, it worked great. Then I started to have problems with it and had to keep coming and turning it on and off to get it to work. Now a little over a year later, It keeps saying it has errors and only prints half a job. The only good thing about it was the year of free instant Ink

Not a deal maker
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To get the ink you have to join immediately upon purchase. Was not advised of that exact issue by Geek Squad during install. HP Smart would only approve 3 months.

Looks nice but Not
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Half the time it chokes in the printing, then I get about 5 or 6 pages with just a few lines printed. Very disappointed in this purchase and I buy only HP Printers!!

Spend the extra money for the better printer.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice Printer but not very well designed and built. Lifespan is about 2 years. After I replaced two of these printers in about two years I upgraded to an HP 9139e HP OfficeJet All in One Printer.

Lousy printer to match the lousy sales service
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheap pull-out paper drawer. Not easy to set up or use. Shopping at Best Buy was horrible. Had to scan code just to get in line for a salesperson. My salesperson was a holdover from the Christmas holidays. Knew nothing about printers. Old printer was much easier to use. Could stock the old one with both regular paper and 4X6 photo paper at same time. This one, you have to take out the paper and put in 4X6 photo paper. Don't like the printer and don't like shopping at Best Buy any more.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry you’re dissatisfied with your printer. I can easily understand why difficulty with paper tray usability and design as well as a poor retail experience would be an aggravating start to ownership. I want to help you have a better experience with the printer from here forward, though, so I’ll direct you to some resources aimed at meeting that goal.

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including cartridge installation, print quality, operating-system compatibility and connectivity. There you can find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here:

required HP Smart app is the WORST
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a loyal HP customer for many years. I never actually got to experience how well the printer worked. The required software, HP Smart is a complete nightmare. After countless failed attempts to complete the printer setup, on the 3rd day I gave up and bought another brand. Tried HP Support, and they only suggested waiting and trying again in 24 hours. I will NOT buy another HP printer. Everyone I spoke at the Best Buy store indicated they have heard this frequently.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very disappointing that this printer is not compatible with Microsoft 7 only with latest Microsoft 10 or 11. You should emphasize and notify the potential customers of this fact. I have Microsoft 7. I now have to use my cell phone to function with this printer which is most inconvenient. Basically I can not use my computer to communicate with this printer. Especially Multiple scanning function does not work for this printer.

DON'T BUY THIS Printer unless you have IT Support
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is virtually identical to the printer it is replacing - a printer that i should not yet have had to replace. I give a very low rating because it STILL DOES NOT work for printing. there is NO HELP from HP. don't waste your time with that maddening chat bot. And now i literally have to hire someone to get it to print over wifi.

Too bad, so sad!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrible printer. It kept getting paper jammed and the parts literally fell apart when you tried to remove the jammed paper. Very disappointed in this hp product as my last printer was an hp and it was great. I had only had the product for 2 months to the day when I decided I could not deal with the jammed paper any longer and the website said it was only returnable for 2 weeks after the purchase of the item. I hope this is not true. If so, I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.
