Cons: - Randomly become undiscoverable on the network. - “8 months of ink” is deceiving. I have had the printer for 7 months, printed a couple dozen pages, and now is out of ink. - Often goes through a maintenance phase when printing for the first time in a while. This results in a page that should have taken seconds to print, now taking minutes. Pros: - Works great as a scanner - HP smart app is easy to use and allows for multiple users to print from computers and phones, if connected to the same network.

I’m sorry that your printer has performed poorly. I can readily understand why connectivity issues, rapid ink use and slow printing would be a tremendously frustrating combination. We want our customers to have experiences better than what you’ve endured, so I’ll offer some resources that I hope will help you remedy the situation.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity and printer-offline difficulties. Visit that page here:

Regarding the ink use, while I can’t say for sure what happened in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less yet than ones in our Instant Ink program. Still, the number of pages you cite does seem very small. A third possibility is the printer is not reading the cartridges correctly and is giving an inaccurate reading.

This one is terrible. It feels like it is going to break whenever I touch it. They make a big deal about how well it keeps connection to WiFi but it drops the connection every day. The paper tray is flimsy. Awful machine.
