    Great so far

Installation was seamless. I had purchase two printers for my Chromebook and they were both garbage. When I purchase the Chromebook I was wrongly assuming my printer had to be compatible with Chromebook. Totally false assumption. As long as the printer is wireless you can print. Set up the wifi was a snap. The screen is really clear. You don't have to go to each entry and peck at it a thousand times to enter your password. One click on each letter was so easy. My biggest complaint is that so many tech products are garbage. I needed a new computer and printer. I had to return, two laptops, a desk top, an two printers. And as my Grandfather would say, "Don't buy cheap" applies here. I could not believe how crappy entry level printers are. I think I will be fine with the HP/.

Printer works great, comes with a good chunk of free ink (its a credit and you can pick how much you expect to print). The app works well, use it to instantly send scans to my email with a couple clicks on the app. Haven't had it for long, but seems well built, better than most inkjet based printers. Networking setup is fairly easy.

    Nice printer, but

I bought this printer when my old one died. It was a good value and easy to set up. The software is great and it is easy to use. But, the paper tray is awful. It is cheap, plastic and doesn't hold the paper well. Most good printers have side holders and a top holder for the paper so that it does slide back and forth. The printer has had trouble feeding the paper during printing because of this issue. HP needs to rethink this design. Affordable shouldn't mean poor function.

Even though it says easy set-up, I still had to call HP to get the printer set-up all the way. Initially, when I started printing, I had a couple of paper jams that I had to clear but, since then it has functioned correctly and been dependable with good quality printing. I haven't figured out how to get the paper adjustment to stay on 8 1/2 x 11. It keeps wanting to shift to A4 paper but still functions.

Poor quality printer that was not consistent in its operations at all. The printer would never stay linked to the wifi or computer. So anytime we needed to use it, we had to go through the whole process of reconnecting it to the computer. The ink cartridges dry up within weeks of purchasing rendering them near useless.

I have never hated an electronic device more than I hate this piece of junk! I'll never by another thing made by HP. After 3 years of putting up with this nightmare printer I'm finally going back to a Canon. I checked even begin to list all of the issues we've had since we got it. And that Instant Ink is a total scam! Save yourself from headaches and don't ever by an HP.
