It also seems to be less efficient with ink. Nice compact design and the auto doc feeder has not yet pulled more than one sheet at a time. If it were less noisy and better on ink, I would give it 4 stars.

Seems like a nice printer

Scanner is just average, it does fine on documents, but I found it subpar on photos. Not to mention that it doesn’t have the scan to share feature that most of the lesser priced printers offer. So if you are scanning many photos/documents, that is a lot of trips back and forth from your computer to scanner, rather than just staying at the scanner for the whole batch. My model Personally has had ink and printer head issues. I’ve had it for about 4 weeks and printed about 30 pages, yet many are streaky and just not sharp. I calibrate the head, works fine for 3-5 pages or a day or two, the. I have to do it again. Very frustrating. Going to call HP for service or a replacement. Given my issues I can’t recommend this printer at this time. We’ll see if my issues are sorted out.
