I bought this unit to replace a competitive product that I was dissatisfied with. Right out of the box, I was pleased to see how quickly I was able to set up this unit. What I did not realize was the apps I was able to take advantage of through HP. News bulletins, sports scores, management tips, are printed and waiting for me when waking up each morning.

So far this printer is doing its job. Scanning is better and print speed faster than my older HP.

It is easy to use and set up. Easy to insert ink. Set it up within half an hour to all my devices.

Set up was quick and simple. Good quality document and photo printing. Very reasonable price.

I bought this machine as a replacement for an older model HP all-in one printer that broke off at the top lid hinges (the place where you would open the top of printer to place a document to copy.) I was happy to see that this newer model seems to have reinforced the hinges to address this prior weakness. I am very impressed with the new e-features as well as the tasks I use the printer for the most; copy, scan, and fax

I replaced an older HP all-in-one that had broken. I use both Mac and Windows 8. Setup on the Mac was more difficult than I expected. But the printer is a great value and is much faster than the printer I replaced. I haven't printed all that much yet, but am impressed with the speed already. Ink cartridges, as for most all inkjet printers, are pricey. Again, I haven't printed enough to know how long they might last.

Great product and easy to use. Compatible with MAC and Windows and wireless works flawlessly.

Has so many functions and features. Very inexpensive. Easy to set up especially to wireless.

Bought this after office inkjet quit. Couldn't decide between the 8600 Pro, and the Pro Plus. Finally decided on the Std Pro. GOOD CHOICE! The missing features on the Plus model turned out not to be important to my printing needs.

print quality is really good. easy to use. would highly recommend this print for any type of use.

My first HP Printer, scanner, copier, fax was good but it gave me errors from loading the HP software. So far this 2nd HP Printer, scanner, copier, fax hasn't let me down. It's been good value for the price but it would have been nice to give the Plus option of adding the file production from scanning. I do like the printing from iPad. I also like the capability to send anything that needs printing to it's email address!

The printer makes wonderful printouts. The wireless feature is wonderful with a smart phone.

This is an excellent printer for the price. The only downside is when you have copy multiple pictures or items at specified settings they will reset and time out on you when not in use. You have to keep reentering the settings again. This is frustrating especially when you need to copy 40 4x6 photos and have to keep changing the printer setting to 4x6. The not in use timeout should be increased to maybe 10 mins

I have thousands of paper photos that I want to digitize for both access and archival purposes. Scanners that can batch feed typically cost three times what this printer with a document feeder costs. Printers are cheaper since the manufacturers assume they can discount them on the front end and make it up on the back end by selling the ink. Mechanically this machine works well as a batch feed scanner. However the software really does not support importing batches of photos. I worked around that by buying Photo Shop Essentials which does support this purpose. (Available as a 30 day free trial) It allows to preselect the appropriate dimensions and has quick cropping features to clean up the scan before importing. Still, it is not a perfect match. More automation from Photo Shop, such as auto sizing and/or autocropping the pictures as they are scanned would be great. Still it is a workable combination to start preserving and organizing my paper photos.

Good home printer for the money. Have not tried the photo options yet, but the ink is expensive, so that will only be for occasional use. The document loader is pretty flimsy, so it double feeds frequently, but it is still functional most of the time (just do a page count first!). All in all, it is great for the price - if you want a higher performing printer then be prepared to drop a substantially more sum of money.

it was very easy to set up and it prints very fast.

We do have problems with the computer communicating with the printer maybe because we have two modem sources. When it doesn't communicate we have to shut the printer off & back on or the computer off & back on to print. It is slower than my old L7580 but it has the convenience to print from multiple computers & smart phones.
