Fits the need nicely of a very small home office. Scans, faxes, copies, and prints. Easy to install and excellent print quality. On the down side, the cover lift is not stable on its hinges and you have to be careful of it slipping. Also the sound the moving parts make when printing doesn't always feel you with security. The auto feed can jam with too many papers so beware. Overall though very pleased and it meets my needs nicely.

I bought this printer on sale to replace an old Cannon printer. So far so good. The print quality for documents is very good. I haven't printed any pictures yet though, so I can't speak on that. It was easy to set up and has a lot of nice features. I also like the wireless print feature.

I needed to replace my prior HP all-in one that inexplicably stopped printing in b&w, and this has been a big step up. Price was very reasonable. I had a few glitches with scanning, but otherwise it has been user-friendly. I also love being able to print from my phone via HP email.

This is a great printer for everyday use. I first got one for my office and quickly realized how convenient it was. It allows me to print emails straight from my phone as well as pictures I've taken. The quality is excellent. After a week of use, I decided to replace the printer at home with the same model. Both have held up very well and have had each for over a year. I now recommend these to a lot of our business clients and they too have commented on how great the printer was and how it has made printing so much easier. The only issue I had was the speed the ink went out. The office printer goes through ink much quicker than the home one. In fact, the home one holds its ink for about 4 months. It all depends on how many print jobs you have per month. The ink is around 65 to 70 dollars which makes one tempted to upgrade to a laser printer. We have not since the quality of the print jobs is right with the laser printer. Be sure when getting ink to get the XL

Works perfect does what I need and more will use forever

The printer installed without any problems. I am using it as a network printer and it works perfectly with my three computers. The scanner is crystal clear and it prints very nice prints. I replace a HP 8500 with the 8600 and what a difference in performance. GREAT PRINTER.

So glad I chose this pritner. Has all the needed features (all in one) and was ready to use in no time. Setup quick! Quality of print jobs is great. Reasonably priced, this makes a home printer more like office quality.

Excellent photo quality printing. Print speed is superior. Fully meets my expectations.

Works fine most of the time and prints lightning fast. Occasionally loses network connection (the printer gets a new IP address and the PCs all still have the old IP address) and each PC on the network requires software un-install - re-installation to re-associate the printer in the network. (Can't just change the Port IP address) I have used this for a month and this happened twice so far. I have only used the printer via wired ethernet so this is very unusual experience as wired ethernet should be rock solid. Hopefully this does not continue. I would have given it 5 stars if this wired ethernet quirk did not exist.

Bought this printer to supplement my office printer. It is a great bargain for the money. Has many features you would expect on a higher end model. Print speed is adequate for home use and small jobs. The printer is somewhat noisy but that was not a huge drawback for me.

I've used this printer for over a month now and find it very reliable and easy to use. It's versatile and adjustable for print quality which is hard to find in a home printer. The prints (from pictures to documents) are clear and beautiful. Great printer at a great price.

I use the 8500 version at work where we have 4 of them and after over a year, it has proven very reliable and sturdy. So to my surprise decided to get one for myself, and I definitely like the newer 8600 version. They improved it a bit, more sleek. Other than the size, no complaints yet. My only gripe and it was Oh so my fault when I was printing b/w art I assumed it was black ink, BUT by default is uses ALL COLORS!!! I wondered why my colors were at half tank, later to see the "use only BLACK option" in advance print settings DOH!...I was heavily printing grayscale images so I did not think to check color usage figuring the black should be the only one taking the hit, but nope. after a about a hundred prints I checked it last....

I have always been a fan of HP printers and still am with this new purchase. The scan, print, fax, and double sided functionaly was what sold me. No other printer in this price range had all features. This printer is also very fast at print speeds and very quiet.

This is the fastest printer I have ever owned. I have used copy, scan, print, but have yet to try fax. All features were easy to set up and connect to my wireless network--connected on first try. It will be interesting to experience the level of ink consumption.

This is a great printer. Very easy to set up. Very easy to set up wireless also.

For the price, this is a best buy printer. The quality of print is as good as any ink Jet on the market. I would recommend it to anyone even if they are a high volume user. Easy to clear jams, and set up is simple. HP wrote the book on printers at every level.

A lot quieter than my old Kodak printer and a lot faster. Great price on sale.
