Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

No good network connection and slow

It prints fast in one side but when you print in both side it is really slow. Something I really heat is that sometimes the printer is not ready to print without any reason. The WiFi or Ethernet is not reliable. First, I setup it with WiFi and it fails to connect 9 times of 10. Then, I connected using the Ethernet and it fails 7 times of 10. Finally connected with USB and fails 1 times of 10. I give 3 starts because I only spend $100 and for what I need , it is no so bad.

This printer is great for college students, don't have to be plugged in to print off assignments and ink lasts for awhile before having to be replaced, I leave it on draft mode so it doesn't use a lot of ink.

Bought it for home office use. It works as advertised. It was a little difficult to set up and required some upgrades out of the box. Working great now.

So far this printer does everything it promises and more. I have always used HP printers for the last twenty years. Never a problem. Ink is the only drawback. It's a little expensive. Love this one...

The in store purchase was good. They had the product I was looking for in stock. So far, the printer has worked as advertised and even though I do not use the WiFi feature it is nice to know that should I want to use WiFi it will be easy to set up.

I like the fact that I can just receive inks through the mail when I am running out, hp monitor the usage of the ink from your printer. With a reasonable price you save more with this program from hp.

    Hard to Get Printing

Had difficulty getting it to print wireless initially. Everything seemed right and said passed wireless. The couldn't print and didnt show as printer. Tried updating software and uninstalling and reinstalling. After two days called Best Buy and they turned me over to the Geek Squad and paid $39.99 to get it to work. Didn't mind as needed a printer in office. Worked a day. Next day same thing but Geek Squad didn't make me pay again. They said I did everything right but for half an hour the installed and reinstalled print drivers. Seems touchy.

I've always been a fan of HP Printers. I would recommend this printer. Be careful which model you buy if you want double-sided scan options. I had to buy this model because the 8600 does not scan 2-sided.

We needed a quick replacement. We walked in and a staff member answered all questions. We had a preference for Hewlett Packard and got a good recommendation. Took it home and set it up without any issues.

This is our second HP Office Pro and we are very satisfied with the product. Our first one was mistreated and finally gave out, we replaced it with a newer one with the same features. Very happy with it.

I've had this product for about one year. Experienced no problems. Print speed is great. I use the scanner extensively to copy important documents so that I don't need to have stacks of paper copies. The wireless capabilities have been fine with no problems. My wife also uses the WiFi capabilities to print documents from her cell phone or her iPad. Print quality is great. Ink consumption seems to be less that other printers I have used in the past.

What is the main complaint of printers.........they burn thru ink too fast. NOT THIS ONE! Plus if you buy into the instant ink plan you save even more.

Love being able to print two-sided pages….tho that ability may make it difficult for some occasionally done art projects that may require a straight thru pass. Haven't had the printer long enough to assess how quickly the ink cartridges run out.

I purchased the HP 8610 because I needed a printer that didn't use a lot of ink. I bought an Epson Artisan 810 from Best Buy in 2010, and spent a ton of money on the expensive ink. I ended up returning the HP 8610 for the 8620 due to a great sale.
