Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

Picked this up on sale for only 99.99 although large this printer is everything we wanted. Easy to download the drivers off the web and set things up with all your computers easily. Prints great, easy to scan as well. WOuld definately say this is a bargain for the functions you get and perfornance. A little big in size so be aware of dimensions.

For one year while it was still under warranty it was a great printer. As soon as the warranty was up, it started acting up, until finally it stopped printing. As recommended by the HP site to fix the problem, we bought new HP ink cartridges and installed them. This did not work. We tried resetting the printer using the recommended procedure. This did not work. Now we find out that the print head needs to be replaced for a cost of $150. I only paid $70 for the printer, not to mention the cost of the new ink cartridges. From what I have read, this must be a common problem with this printer. This was my third HP printer each having its own problems and I am totally against buying another HP printer.

It started out great but then things went rapidly downhill. Why? Because within a month the ink completely ran out in the black cartridge. Replacement cartridges cost more than the actual machine! And I don't print a lot!

Far better then my old printer.

My previous printer was a non-HP product. I had issue with that old printer right from the get-go. After it finally broke down on me, I decided to go back to HP.
Best Buy had a deal going on for this printer, so I decided to pick this up. The only immediate problem is its bulky size and the tiny little screen. It takes up quite a bit of room, so be ready to loose some space on your table/desk.
The setup was extremely easy, but you do have to be careful that the caps lock is off. I managed to get the printer connected to my wifi network in around five minutes. The best thing about it is that I am able to print from all of my Apple devices, as well as PC computers.
As far as printing pictures goes, this printer does a decent job at it. This is more of a small office all-in-one printer, so if you're in need of something that will provide great oicture quality, I would advise against it. This is not to say that the picture quality is terrible because it's not, but it's not the best.
So far, I have had the printer for a few months without any issues. I'm glad I went back to HP printers. I would definitely recommend this printer.

I purchased this printer primarily to print photos. I was not impressed. It left streaks or lines on each photo that I printed. I returned it.

Best Printer on the Market

I love this printer and it has no equal. When running on HP Advanced paper or Brochure paper the color and photo quality beats most laser printers and it does it at 3.3 cents per page on the Instant Ink Program. Thats 3.3 cents for full color, full bleed, 100% coverage 8 1/2x11 pages. No printer can match that. plus at 19 pages a minute its fast. Prints from my phone or tablet no matter where I am in the world as long as I have wifi. Whats not to love. It will be the last home business printer you will buy for the next 5 years.

The in-store HP rep told me that this was the best HP could offer as far as print quality goes. I took it home, and the first print I made I could EASILY see the individual ink dots on the paper in the yellow/orange color range and even in the green to some extent. The edges were not sharp either. It's just not the right printer if you're looking for high detail, high quality printing. It'd probably be fine for churning out invoices or something, but that wasn't what I was after.

I used this maybe a handful of times. Changed the cartridges and it didn’t work. I called HP to help troubleshoot. They said it was defective and the best they could do was offer a bad discount on a newer HP printer. So frustrated. I didn’t even get enough usage to pay for itself. Poor quality. Total rip off. HP finds new ways to take your money.

HP 8610 printer is very affordable... and BIG. I'm assuming they just use the same housing for a lot of their printers.
* Print Envelopes? Sure. Just UNLOAD your paper tray and add the envelope.
* Duplex Printing? Yep.
* Duplex Scanning? Yep... if you reload the paper manually.
* Manual Feed? Just try to find a clear answer on this... no, let me save you the trouble... NO MANUAL FEED (see Print Envelopes above)
Print quality is great, It does what it does, very well. I wish some of these issues were addressed in the HP documentation.

I can print wireless from my phone but can't print from the computer. The user manual was one page that says hit start. Computer keeps saying printer is offline but printer says connected. I wish I had not been talked into this printer by the sales rep.

This printer is amazing. I have had 4 HP printers in the last year and this is the best so far. It is extremely fast for powerpoints, even doublesided. Plus this printer is eligible for the HP Ink, which is by far one of the best programs offered. It is perfect for a person who is constantly printing powerpoints and assignments but has no time to go get Ink from a store. This printer may be a little more than you wanted to pay but in the long run this printer will save you time and effort. Bonus: Ipad/Iphone/Ipod printing, document feeder, and very large paper tray (somewhere around 175 sheets)
