Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent print quality and ease of use of the Officejet Pro 8620. Many appreciate its wireless functionality and fast scanning capabilities, while some find the printer's size and paper tray design less convenient. The printer's noise level is also a point of concern for a few users. Overall, positive feedback on printing quality and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on size and noise.

For the price, this printer does a lot, but the print quality is not the best around.

I loved this printer for the 14 months that it worked properly. But then it stopped working wirelessly with my MAC. Despite hours of trying various methods to get it to work again, it will only do so with a USB cable, which will not help me. HP is no help as there is no support line.

Prints all pages in reverse order. Last page first. There is no page order selection from last for first or first to last as there was on the hp 8600. I print checks with this printer and they need to be printed first page first not last page first. I will be selling this printer and purchasing another because of this problem. Temporary solution was to download and install driver from the hp8600. But his is a pain as because everytime there is a major windows 10 update the driver reverts back to the 8620 driver and printing order returns to last page first.

Inkjet Printer That Works Like A Laser Printer

Just like the title says...Inkjet printer that works like a laser printer! This printer is very, very fast! It does everything that I need it to including double sided copies and wireless printing from my iPhone. You can pay your bills online from your couch and print the confirmation from there as well. It's scanning abilities are great. I went into the store to replace my laser printer with another laser printer and after speaking with an employee came out with this with the intention of taking it back if it didn't perform like a laser like the employee said. Needless to say it is still here and working perfectly. I have had no issues whatsoever printing documents on regular papers as well as pictures on photo paper. Buy with confidence!!!

Horrible overkill for home use. It didn't want to sync with my computer. I'm pretty computer savvy and this had to be the worst HP product that I've ever bought.

    Best Purchase for the price.

I love everything about this printer. It's very fast and love the front and back print feature (saves paper and automatically prints on both sides) and the top feed scan is amazing, I placed 15 pages to scan and it was done in no time, my roommate even mentioned that it was faster than the big expensive printer they used at his work. I've had many printers and this has been by far the best I've purchased. Print quality is great for both documents and photo printing. You can't beat the price and all the features it has of a much more expensive printer.

This is an awesome printer. Am able to e-mail it and it prints, fax's are great. Easy to set up and also saves a lot of money since you're able to print or fax on both sides of a sheet. There are no downsides to this printer and couldn't be happier with it. It can print, fax, scan, copy and web. A lot of printer for the bucks and would recommend the ink program to go along with it

Double-sided scanning joy and wireless setup tip

I have had the 8620 for a couple of days but I already love it. My previous all-in-one did not have a document feeder so I had to manually scan my documents and flip the page. It is a breeze with this printer. I scan in 4 double-sided, color pages, at 20 DPI in 1min17sec vs. 6-8min before since it required clicking the scan button for each page. Also, I had a lot of problems setting this up on my wireless network. However, I am convinced that it is not the printers fault. The printer was easily connected to my network but my computer wouldn't see it. I had to eventually login to my wireless router and search for the connected devices. I eventually re-connected the printer to the router using a PIN instead of WPS and suddenly my computer was able to see the printer. Then I installed the HP driver using the installation CD, otherwise it uses the default Win 10 driver.

    Solid Printer

This is a solid printer, the wireless functionality is really nice, its very reliable and it works unlike my old officejet that I bought 4 years ago. They have come a long ways with their printers when it comes to wireless printing. Before I use to have to reboot my old printer because if I didn't use it for an extended period of time the wireless functionality stopped working. The only reason I gave this product a 4 instead of 5 is because sometimes pages seem to hang when printing, there is a weird 5-10 seconds delay when it finishes printing... Also I feel that HP adds too much bloatware to their softwares, they should really keep it simple, usually problems start to happen when you add too much stuff. Lastly I got the HP ink refill program, which is nice, $5 a month for 100 pages a month is not bad, plus I got the first 6 months free. Can't beat this deal.

    Decent quality

We had the older version of this same model. The top load scanner had stopped working, so we were looking for a new printer. We decided to get the newer version since it used the same ink cartridges as our old printer (and we still had some left over). The printer is quick to respond. However, the one drawback I've noticed is that if I put papers in the top feed and want to make 2 sided copies from it, more times than not,I get a paper jam error message, even when there isn't one. I also noticed that we first got the printer, it had a habit of grabbing 3-5 sheets at a time from the paper tray, instead of just one. As we've used it more, that issue seems to have resolved better. It has a very quick scanner that we use frequently to scan and save paperwork to a thumb drive.
