When I looked into the price of the printer head, I decided to check out buying a new printer. Definitely a good idea! Very pleased with the operation. Have done a fair amount of printing and am still using the sample cartridges that came with the printer.

Good Features but poor quality and unreliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The HP Officejet Pro 8620 (and 8610 and 8630) are replacements for the HP Officejet Pro 8600 series (8600, plus and premium). What HP did was essentially take the very sturdy and well-made old 8600 series, strip it down to produce a much more inferior version but keep the list prices the same. While the printer has excellent features, its performance compared to the old 8600 is far inferior. It takes forever to print and scan and the boxy, cheap look makes me wonder how long it will last. A problem with the 8600 series is a printhead (the contraption that holds the ink cartridges) that malfunctions and costs as much as the printer to replace. In short, buy this printer only if you can get it for half the list price of $300 or less.

It was rough cutting through the tape on the box.

Setup was extremely easy, however the hardest part was opening the box. Couldn't ask for a better home printer.
