Hard to set up

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a replacement for a previous HP All-In-One printer, and 8600. Like the previous, the print quality is excellent, even in draft mode. Unlike the previous, this printer is much quieter, and in quite more, shakes the table much less. However, the 8600 printer had a MUCH larger screen for the controls, which was much easier to read. The tiny screen on this device is not optimal IMO. Set up on this printer was much faster than the previous, and was ready to print much faster. But my biggest complaint is that they changed the printer cartridge number so my old ink will not work. The old ink and the new ink cartridges look identical, but you can't put the old cartridge into the new printer. That means this printer cost me an additional $120 because I had new ink for my old printer on hand, and now it is worthless. HP does this it seems with every printer, and I find it a cheap and dirty trick to get us to buy more VERY EXPENSIVE ink. Minus one full star for the poor screen. And minus one full star for not using the same kink as the previous model.
