I took a chance and bought it, I'm pleased with the results thus far... the only problem I see for now is the small touch screen and high prices of replacement ink if you buy in most stores.

I did have a problem with the "press the wait button while you set up instant ink" since I could not get it to go to the next step. I called HP customer support after trying to access it on the computer. (The virtual support on the HP site was not helpful. ) The printer works very well, I have not tried to scan or fax yet.

easy set-up

The printing is great black and white as well as color. This was a good buy on sale for $129. The ink cartridges are 4 separate and supposedly that is the most economical way to print at home. The foot print is somewhat large. The only con is that it does not print immediately, but has a slight delay as it readies to print. Slightly annoying, but tolerable for me.

Good printer!

I just used it for scanning the 1st time a few nights ago & it also worked well. I got it as a replacement for the HP 8610 I'd bought a couple of months before -- the wireless connection on it failed utterly, even after calling cust svc & having them repair it. I'm hoping the same problem doesn't happen with this one!
