I'm trying HP again after a bad experience a few years ago, but everything seems to be working great on this one. Setup was easy and very intuitive. The first few prints we've done seem to be great quality and clarity. We did sign up for the insta-ink program and that was easy as well. We already got the first shipment of ink to install when the cartridges that came with it run out.

I just started using it but was easy to setup and prints great. so far it has been great.

Overall this is a nice printer, and it has much lower per-page costs than a lot of comparable printers. It does everything well–quality, speed, cost. My only complaint is that the touchscreen is on the small side. Considering that the printer doesn't have any physical buttons (except power of course), this gets in the way of an ideal experience. The next model up has a larger touchscreen, but that printer is larger and costlier than I wanted.

I have had a lot of printers over the years and did a lot of research before buying each one. Eventually they all die. I have had the best results with the larger HPs like the 8710. They tend to be heavier, bigger and more robust. The 8710 prints fast and has all the features. The HP will die also, but my experience is that they last longer. My worst experience is with Brother.

I was looking for a printer and decided on the HP Office Jet Pro 8710. I was looking at prices and tried Best Buy. I got a better price than Walmart in store or online and that was with a two year warranty. I recycled an old HP printer and received a 15% rebate. It prints 2 sided automatically, in color, from my home network wirelessly and from all my devices including phones.

Bought it fast in store, set it up fast, and it works fast. Very happy.

My biggest complaint when using a HP printer was ink. I figured when getting a new printer I would go for the 8710. What I like the most is the ink usage is minimal. I am not having to purchase new ink every three to four months which we all know can become quite expensive. I have found that the 8710 and the older version 8610 work pretty much like a laser printer.

I like everything about how this printer and scanner works. Color prints are sharp and come out about as fast as any printer. The ink is in 4 cartridges so you only need to replace the one that's empty. That is a big cost savings. I did not like the fact that the HP software would not work well with my Mac. But, the Mac software will make it do everything that it's supposed to do. I am very happy with it after a few months of use.

I work remotely and was given this printer to use during my precious employment. Printing loan pkgs and scanning them to a share file was what I primarily used the printer for. When I left the company I had to return the printer. Recently I saw Best Buy had the same printer on sale. I was thrilled! So I bought it and love it! It's perfect for my home office use!
