Like anything else they have a life span. My last 2 lasted 5 years each. Maybe this one will make it longer. I consider printing needs are moderate to light. I gave it a 4 only because when not in use for a while, the 1st page seems to come out blurry. Other wise the all-in-one features are great. I do wish it were a bit compact.

easy set up and good support. printed pretty quickly

I got this to supplement an old non-network Canon b&w laser printer. My kids occasionally need to print school projects in color. I find the $3 50 pg a month Instant Ink plan perfect for my needs. I love the convenience of being able to place the printer anywhere in the house. The prints are clear and sharp. So far kids are loving it

Great for the office, we don't print a ton but 10 people use it when needed through WiFi.

Bought this on sale, great printer! Print quality for both paper and photos is excellent. Also signed up for HP Instaink, which is a great deal! $2.99 for ink refills for the first 5 months, then only $2.99 per month after that for one year, saves HUGE $$ on ink, well worth it!

Set up was super easy. Printing is fast and fairly quiet.

I use this printer daily for home and business printing and scanning and FAXing. It works much more reliably than the Epson printer I had purchased and returned. Quality of printing is good and cartridges last for many pages.

I write cook books and need a reliable printer that can fax, copy, etc. The HP Officejet Pro 8710 took a little time to install on multiple computers plus cell phones, but once accomplished, it works great. It is also a good fit on our desks work tops.

Even though Ink Jet printers can be costly for the ink, this one came with a little bigger initial supply of ink - a plus. It was pretty easy to install and set up and since it is wireless, I can print from a number of enabled devices. Good deal good printer.

I have enjoyed HP printers for years. This one has been a breeze to install & operate.

Bought for a not so saavy technophobe...set up was pretty simple, although I like the (old?) version HP's interface, which I have with a printer and a 3-in-one, better. I couldn't get the wireless to work, too much trouble, and the owner would not care anyway. And why hook to your router when you don't need to?

Prints very fast for normal documents and it does a very nice job on pictures as well. The connected ability that allows ink replenishment and remote printing is very handy. I never have to worry about buying ink again

This printer and fast and accurate for normal color printing. There is no good way to print on like business card sheets or label sheets because it doesn’t have a flat tray. It’s a workhorse for scanning as well. But again the feeder is very fussy if it’s not normal or legal size paper just like the printing.

Love this printer! It was very easy to set up on MOST of our devices! The Wi-Fi makes it so nice with no cords running all over. Love the instant order ink program that is offered! well worth the cost. It prints double sided, clean and crisp - just remember to purchase thicker paper. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars was because it said it would work with windows XP and I guess it does - if your computer connects to the internet, mine does not for personal reasons. The installation disk that comes with the printer is missing a driver needed to run the program so It won't load. I did get it working - but it wasn't as simple as just loading a disk. My point is if you know XP is old and you know it will need the driver, either include it in the setup disk or don't say it works with XP. Why assume, every computer connects to the internet? But like I said - This is a great printer.

I have had numerous wireless/networked printers. This one works and works very well. I don't have to constantly delete and reinstall, I don't have it timing/ghosting out on me or saying it doesn't exist. The print quality is good and the ink usage is similar to most.

I have a mac book pro and I needed a new printer since my old one died. Although it comes with an installation disk I did not need to connect the printer to my MacBook and it was very easy to install. I don't do a lot of printing but what printing I have done I am happy with the quality and functionality of the printer.
