Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the OfficeJet Pro 8710's print quality and ease of use, frequently praising its performance and user-friendliness. Many also appreciate the wireless functionality and the reasonable price point for the features offered. While some find the printer's size to be a minor drawback, the positive feedback on its reliability and overall functionality outweighs this concern.

The ONLY fault I found with this printer is that it did NOT include a USB cord. I suppose HP assumed that all printing is now done wirelessly. It isn't. Otherwise, this printer is fast and the print quality is high. A very good buy.

Bought as a replacement for HP8500. It seems faster, prints in good quality, used online installation tool. Just can't get the fax to work yet. I wish there were more written instructions for this feature which always seems to be the most difficult to set up with these HP machines.

Had to give up my Office Jet after 8 plus years. This thing really rocks. The auto ink thing is still a bit confusing. I'm still on the mini cartridges that came with the machine and I do a LOT of printing. They (HP) sent me new cartridges a month ago when my current cartridges were at 75% still. (I am now at about 15% and ready to change out soon.) They go by the # of pages apparently. Anyway, I have to take another look at that part but the printer scanner can not be beat. Fast compared to my Office Jet. Quality is (as expected from HP) "perfect". The cartridges do seem to go a long, long way.

I have had HP printers for many years. When I saw this one on sale I decided to hand my old one down to my grandson. This one is great. Faster than the previous one, sharper and clearer copies and is a great choice.

My old HP finally stopped duplexing (flipping paper over for printing on both sides) after 10 years of service. This one is a little bulkier and heavier, but well worth the investment.

I got this printer for me office. We have it in a main room and are able to wirelessly print to it. It’s been great for everyday printing. We do go through a lot of color ink but the print quality is great.

This printer was very easy to setup to wii with no fuss. The printing is very fast, and you can’t bet the price. Got it on sale plus a 10% off for tuning in a old printer and used my Best Buy points! Can’t beat that.

This is a great device for scanning and printing in color. I have purchased three of these over the years and I’ve had no problems. The scan quality and operation over WiFi or Ethernet make it easy to use across rooms.

This printer really cranks out the pages; single or double sided and does so relatively quietly without even putting the quiet setting on. I love that it holds 1/2 a ream of paper so I am not always filling it up.

This was replacing an older HP printer that finally died. This was a good priced replacement and the features are much improved from my 4 year old one. Scans pretty fast and prints well. Network features are a plus.

Picked this up on sale and I couldn't be happier. Prints from my laptops, iPad and phone even if I'm not at home and connected to my network. We will see how the ink lasts but out of the box it's a steal.

Love the AirPrint capabilities, it is a true wireless printer, so I can keep it out of site out of mind in my basement, but know that if I need it, it is online and working

Works great! Works to print remotely from multiple devices like cell phones and tablets and laptop. Not sure how to fax from my laptop i was hoping it would do that but good quality and ink is expensive.

This review concerns my second HP OfficeJetPro 8710. I called HP sales to check the compatibility with my operating system and got the okay. My laptop connected perfectly. Unfortunately, I was not so fortunate with my desktop. It would not print, nor copy, nor scan. The driver on the disc provided, was useless. The online customer support was not user friendly. After several hours I gave up and contacted a live technician. He was able to access my machine remotely. He determined that the driver specific to this model, would not work. Furthermore, in order to print an envelope you must first remove the letter sized paper, load the envelopes and reset the paper size to reflect the size envelope you wish to use. This does not help envelopes to print. I came up with a "work- around" to print envelopes. There were so many issues that I was shipped a new replacement. The replacement had the same issues. Once again, a technician had to use a different driver than the one provided for the OfficeJet Pro 8710. There was no way for me to set this up without the aid of a live technician. I still use my work-around to print envelopes. I had 2 prior HP printers. They were easy to use and long lasting. I chose another HP printer because of these experiences. The color print is still excellent. Although, the printer is now working, it took way too much time and effort to get it going. For these reasons I would not recommend this particular printer. However, I still have faith in the HP brand and would consider a different HP printer in the future.
