I got it with a free 3 month instant ink plan and upon registration of my device there was a free 2-month instant ink trial. All in all I got 5 months of instant ink plan. I print between 100-200 pages a month and the starter colored ink cartridges lasted about 4.5 months so unless you do a lot of colored printing, there isn't a big price advantage in using the instant ink plan when the free trial period is over.

Worth the extra money
