Exactly what I needed. Was replacing an old printer

With both my wife and I working from home starting back in March, we wanted to invest in a quality printer. This printer helps us scan and send easily and print quickly for both of our jobs. Pairing this with the instant ink program has been great.

It took us over a month to get it set up. We had to call HP 2x and ended up having our nephew help us get to work!!!

Good price, works well, and it came with a 2-year warranty.

I experienced repeated issues with this specific printer, the HP "Smart" software, and even HP support. Sometimes it says there is a problem with the ink cartridges, even if you replace them. The HP Smart software is awful and unreliable. HP removed some excellent features and capabilities that were present in the prior scanning software. Also, HP Smart becomes slower the more you use it to scan (i.e. likely memory leak), plus also crashes randomly when scanning. HP support tries to fix the issue by repeatedly reinstalling the software suite. Also experienced some unprofessional experiences when working with support. They prematurely close the chat window or hang up and not call back. They used to be great many years ago, but I do not know what happened.

Not a fan at all. I am using this HP printer with an HP laptop. I am using a wired and wireless connection and when I try to print I get a printer error message, almost every time. HP wants to use their app which is installed, but it does not help, Printer tray is very poor and counterintuitive, which causes frequent paper jams. HP support is a joke. The most response I get is a chat from 'Chat with Virtual Agent' whose decision tree directs me to wireless connectivity issues. Even with just a wired connection. Don't recommend it.

I just got it November 22nd. Actually I paid for it that day and it was shipped approximately a week later. So I've only had it for about 3 weeks, so far so good and I am hoping that it will last through its extended warranty, LOL.

I am beyond thrilled with my new HP printer. It's far exceeding my expectations, and vastly superior to my previous model. I can't recommend this one highly enough. If you're on the fence about purchasing it, jump off right now and just do it!

Works Great! Much quieter and faster than older models.

The functionality of the printer is good. The issue is trying to setup and use this printer without signing up for the ink subscription. HP claims that this is possible, but I spent 2 days trying to set it up without the "free trial" and would get an error at the end of the setup process stating "setup is incomplete ". After finally selecting the cheapest "free trial" the setup completed error free. This is a covert method for HP to hang on to their lucrative ink business.

I had an 8620 model for many years. This is a bit more compact, a bit faster and so far the scanning suits me very well. App works well too. Highly recommend. I also use the ink plan. Haven’t truly figured out if this is a cost savings yet.

I got sold to buy the HP because of the ink program, why too expensive. Biggest problem is when you loose your wifi, for any reason, no link no print. Had to use my UCB cable to get the unit to print. I buy the printer, paper, ink and it wouldn't let me print to I restart the monthly service fee. Now I not allowed to print more then 10 pages a month unless I buy a bigger service fee, why? Big mistake buying this printer.

I'm happy with my purchase however the printer has a few flaws that I feel don't affect the quality and performance of the printing but are somewhat annoying. Two stick out on is that the paper "Catcher" that retains printed pages is flimsy and not well designed and doesn't hold the printed paper well; also, for an "Office" printer it should have a separate paper container for envelopes to be printed, but doesn't. Oh well, can't beat the price and the quality of the print if excellent compared to my other HP 4700 Series. All-in-all I would recommend this machine for small home office.

You really can't go wrong with the quality you are receiving for the price. Easy to use and nice to look at! Plus the ink subscription has a great price point and is extremely straightforward.

Confusing to set up, but once done , machine is great.

I always had HP printers at work and just purchased my third one for home use. I love all the features including the duplex feature (prints on both sides of paper when needed). I would definitely buy this model again. I liked the price and ease of set-up too.
